TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK
this is a quick how to for the edelbrock down pipe. Its actually not the bad to install now that I have fully gone through and figured all the hang up.

This is what i orderd from ebay it comes with studs and a gasket.

you will also have to order a flange to mate with this for your j pipe

this is my flange and my 2.5 vclamp that was welded to my cat.
I also orderd a flex pipe 4 inch I know recomend probably a tad longer one maybe 6 inch would be good but its up to you.

Biggest problem with this setup is you have to grind the bolt hole to where the oe down pipe was at, heres a quick pick this needed to be ground more

You will also need a spacer for your water Neck

Your next biggest issue will be this fitting for your oil return.

you have to remove this fitting from the oil line before installing or the mani will not sit flat and you will have a huge exhaust leak.
You have two options-relocate your return line or shave the angle you need for clearnce

i also vised the stem at the angle needed. I will take a pick when i get a chance but im not in a rush.
You will also need to get a custom jpipe made. When I had the second one done I made the primary flange into a adapter plate with vclamp
i orderd a 120 angle pipe to get the curve i needed

heres the finish product.

REMEMBER OIL FITTING HAS TO BE OUT SO YOU KNOW YOUR FLUSH AGAINST YOUR HEAD TO PREVENT EXHAUST LEAKS.
GOOD LUCK.

thank you, yes maybe after tax time I'll do a dyno Ive been wanting to know where I stand The car feels very responsive with my short pipeing from the intercooler and now that i have fixed the last bottle neck I feel that the car is where it should be for a fun daily driver...

yes, I know there a little restrictive but I'm trying to stay as legal as I can plus smog time is in March for me..

Highfive, man! Way to go. I'm glad this came together after all the "nonsense" in the other thread.

Nice 'how to'. Glad to see you got this to work.

Did you weld the V band flange right to the 3 bolt flange? Was there enough room for the nuts or did you need to use some sort of spacer?

pm me if you get stuck..just remember to grind that bolt stud piece as flat as possible and then remove the bottom oil return piece before installing then you should be flat and the water neck spacer..good luck.

Ill definitely will be grinding down the dp mount hole I'm gonna look into something that could make the return line a little more flush or out of the way... My engine is out of the car so the fab work should be easier ill tack everything then take it to a real shop for quality welding

So what did you do with the oil return fitting to make it clear? Any pics? I have a pope, so I don't really need to know, but I'm curious.
