How to check if emanage ultimate is working?

I am looking to buy the emanage ultimate 2nd hand, the EMU was originally on a toyota. Was wandering if there is a way to know if the EMU is working properly without installing it. Will it also fit in the 1.6 zm, guessing it will fit since the EMU is supposed to be an universal fit, no?

I plan to use it to boost my 1.6 Zm engine, i heard some mix views on the EMU some people seem to get it to work properly some not??

My car is from Singapore not sure whether this might be relevant but dudes in singapore do not seem to have any issue with gettting the EMU to work with the ZM engine, the stock ecu might be different in on 1.6 mazda in singapore.

It seems from all of the threads that I've gone through around here on the forums that the ultimate might not work well... but that might just be for the MSP. Sorry I can't be of any more help.

Cheers for the reply. I have seen that also from this forum, but guys in asia seems to swear by the ultimate to tune their turboed 323, might have to do with the different types of stock ecu.

Some one from corksport told me that the ultimate will work if i have the Ford ecu and that Apexi SAFC will work if i have the mitsu ecu??

I am just looking for a piggyback to tune my ride after i boosted it. At the moment i plan to get a FPR using the stock ecu and injectors. I might be getting the ultimate after i upgraded to walbro fuel pump and larger injectors.

Any one know what sort of things to check to see if the ultimate is working properly, coz I am getting a good price for the ultimate.
