I was at a light and I had a little celica pull up to me. It was white but had a black hood (dunno if it was carbon fiber or not, doubt it). Anyways he had an exhaust as well and was revvin at me. I was with a friend and we both look straight at him and start bustin up, I was like is this guy serious!? So i rev and he heard my cobb intake and hks in recirc, sssssspSH. After that he got scared and when the light turned green, he took off normal. hahaha oh it was great. Kinda like a slap to the face.
I had my hks in vta as well and blew off near this other car and he drives up and is like "IS THAT A TURBO!!???" I just said ya and he replies SWEET! and thats that..haha

i was waiting at a light to get on the freeway a month or 2 ago. it was one of those on-ramps where it goes from 2 lanes to 1 before merging onto the freeway. i was first in line and behind me was a bug eye wrx, the light turns green and i make the left onto the ramp, and sure enough the subie punches it and tries to make a pass on the right. i punch it as well to block him, because it pisses me off when people pull that kind of sh!t. i look in the mirror and he is starting to catch up, when i hear a huge BANG!!! i see blue smoke billowing from under the car as he pulls over to the side of the ramp!!!
i think he missed a shift and blew the motor or something, but i cant be sure, it was awesome though

A GTI revved at me from behind at a super crowded light to show off his BOV.
It sounded pretty cool! I didn't even have my intake at this point so there wasn't much I could do, but he seemed to recognize I was in a Speed3 even with the debadge.
Most people don't even give my car a second look. Unless I smash the gas and let Mario get a coin from the Forge.

LoL(lol) I totalally get the same thing...My Mario throws coins inside peoples windows as I drive by them. Also throws them at people waiting at the bus stops...I love my Forge. I wonder how loud it would be if I ran it VTA and pluged the recirc line.
i was just out for a nice mellow drive last night playing with my new intake and on my way home some older accord rolls up next to me had an exhaust lowered and maybe an intake, so im just driving nice and casual and he starts revving at me (i think he assumed i was a regular 3 like most do) so i get into 4th and before i can even try and get even he just takes off on me, i hestitated for a second then punch it and caught up to him in like 2 seconds before i even got into 5th he had shifted twice and by 5th i was 1-2 cars ahead of him, then he tryed to take me from a dig...they just dont learn(hand) lol

A friend and I had our cars out (me a MS3 him a Corvette) and a guy drove up to us and noticed the MS3 and talked to me about it and said nothing about the Corvette!
Well that's most likely because Corvettes are a dime a dozen and the MS3 is sorta unique. I'd still take a Corvette though, even the new base C6 puts out 434hp!
haha. i had that same situation couple months ago. I was on the highway, and a black gti pulled up. He kept jerking, i knew he wanted to run it. I thought he was stock, but i was wrong. 3rd honk, he just slowly took off on me. I was so pissed. I told my boy what happen. Apparently, my boy knew him. My boy told me he has stage 2. Figures, especially i'm still bone stock. lol.. I was so mad. Now everytime i see a gti pulls up next to me, i have to be careful. haha

yeah buddy only had an exhaust when he was next to me. the bov an the injen cai makes the car sooo loud haha. i love it. once we were getting on the interstate i got tired of him riding my ass an i just dropped to 4th an left him. went to about 85mph an i chilled out. once he caught up he didnt even bother again once that happened. GTI drivers - the new civic drivers... ?

The original Stage-1 and 2 was a Buick GS 455. Wow times have changed. I have no idea what anyone is referring to now as Stage-2? I can tell you I own a 71 Stage-1 GS 455 and it is quick(High 12's qtr mile) and weighs over 4000 lbs with working AC and power windows however it is now in pieces being restored, I cannot wait until spring when I get my new 09 Speed 3 out and spank some youngsters and tell them this is my slow car. Then I can get My old Buick out and give them a severe history lesson too. What Fun.(dance)

I don't know what stages are too. I know what parts are on my cars. I think stages are for people that don't much about cars and just say to their ricer friends its got this stage blablah. It just makes you sound stupid when you stage this/that.

dont quote me on it but i think on a gti (if apr) is ecu flash, 3" turboback. and maybe a front mount? i also think a fuel pump upgrade is recommended for best performance

I was in the left lane today, only going 65 because of the snow. I was actually one of the faster people on the road. Anyhow I look in my rearview and I see a car coming up on me. When it gets a little closer I realize its another Mazda 3 in true red. When he gets up to me I pull over to let him by. Its a 4 door GT. As he passes me we both look over at the other. He gives me the "nice car" nod and I return the favor.
No racing but he definately seemed to reconize it wasnt a straight Mazda 3.
BTW the 4 door Mazda 3 is a nice looking car.

stage 1 buick GS455 is a BRUISER...trust me.
I saw a GTI with it's hood popped and the guy working on it today at the gas station when I got some gas. It was black and debadged but had a little chrome cursive Turbo badge on the back. After I got gas i went in to get some cigs and the guy was like nice speed3. I said thanks and ask'd what happened to his car. He said he doesn't know, it just doesn't want to start. I said that sucks and walked inside, but I was really thinking "Thats the great german engineering right der"

I usually get a ton of "challenges" on the street when I'm in my Miata. There's something about driving a car with a proper roll bar, racing seats and six-point harnesses that make people think you're out there to race them.
My Miata is a fantastic autocross car, and a scream to drive on The Dragon, but it's a joke in a drag race. Although I bet it might beat the MS3 in 60' time.
One day, the tables were turned.
I was behind a white NB Miata with a dual exhaust and a turbo badge on the trunk lid. We both made the right onto a main road with two lanes going each way. I moved into the left lane to go around him at a casual pace when he stomped on it. I was in 2nd, so I just gave it a little more gas and left him behind.
His blow-off valve sounded a lot like him hitting the rev limiter.

Although I've only had my MS3 for a couple of weeks, I can already tell that most people don't have a clue whats going on as they think it's just a regular 3 hatchback.
Living in the great state of SC (gotta be like ~20% of the population with mustang's), the only people that really seem to attempt to rev it up are the rednecks in their screaming '94 stang.
