a red 1992 mr2 with 128k and everything just checked up on expect for power steering which is not a big deal... I can get that fix how much would u guys pay.. oh ya its a t-top... I say 3500 but that is way over the kbb value...

Suggestions?

$3,500 is a bit much.

How about $2,000.

The motor is an AGE right? I think there's a way to put a 7AFE head on some other block and it's all neat and stuff. Blah, my toyota knowledge is lacking.

Really? i've looked on auto trader and everyone is selling them for 3500-4000

which is like double the kbb value

Well, with the motor that's in it, it's basically a RWD corrolla. $3,500 seems steep but depends on the shape.

I just did a quote from www.edmunds.com and came out with $2,100. I put 130,000 miles in average or fair condition and just assumed a few basic options including A/C.

ya i nkow but go to

a mr2 forum and read the price guide... Does it seem kinda high or they just trying to over estimate the price so it keeps their car's value up.

if that is the case we should do that..

When you're right you're right(thought)

gotta keep in mind, those car's are pretty rare in some area's. so their gonna be selling more then kbb. if i had a mr2 in good condition that ran well and wasnt tt, i wouldnt sell it for anything less then $3,200.

mr2's can be ******* monsters when fixed up. especially the TT's.

tt twin turbo? u mean 1 turbo? ya i agree. i want it to do an engine/tranny swap with... I want to stick a celica gts engine in it

just like the batmang said 91-95 mr2s are rare to find and are very desirable cars to own. Blue book means nothing on them. 3500$ is very decent price. Check on the mr2 board for sale section u get an idea for what they are selling for. Also check here http://www.xcars.com/ prices there are little higher than on autotrader.

You are correct, it is a single turbo. People get confused because on the intake manifold or the valve cover, it has it stamped "twin outlet turbo". Single turbo, with twin outlets :)

The price may be a little high, but if its in great shape it a pretty good deal. The book price doesn't reprent what these cars sell for. I had a 2.2na, the are 5sfe's not 4age's. They will last forever, mine blew at over 220,000 only because I didn't check my oil and let it run dry. Not a lot of power or anything you can do to get it, but still a fun car to drive. Save a little cash and get the turbo. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Check out the mr2 board at www.mr2oc.com.

Theres a 91 turbo mr2 around here at unique motors ltd that is going for 10k. Mint condition, thing looks showroom new. Apparently the owner pretty much never drove it and kept it super clean. I almost traded in my msp for it.
