How much for new P5's?

Hey guys.. I'm gonna get a new car in 5 weeks.. and the P5 is one of the cars I'm eyeing.

What did you guys pay after tax on your new P5 and what options did you get? (Btw, I prefer to get it in Auto)

i paid around 15k off the lot...for a base 5-speed, no options and extended warranty...but that was about a year and a half ago...you should be able to get a really good deal since the P5s aren't exactly flying off the lots

My other option would be a Ford Focus ZX5. I just went to MSN Autos and compared the invoices to both... Here were the options I chose:

Automatic Tranny
ABS (+ side airbags w/ P5 ... + 4disc brakes w/ Focus)

Those are basically the only options I want.

The Pro is $17,100 and the ZX5 is $16,500... plus my uncle works as a Finance Director at a Ford dealer in Miami.. he can get me cost + dealer fees.

Figure about $4000 off of list price right now on any model. There is a 2250 rebate and about $1500 markup as well, also if you are a college grad there is another $500 off.

if your uncle works for Ford he may also be able to get your Protege5 under their X-Plan (employee discount price)

Mazda IS under control by the blue oval after all...

I paid $17500 after taxes total... this included...

16" alloy
6 in-dash CD
ABS and moonroof
side airbags
manual tranny
cloth interior

Mazda currently has the following incentive for all Protege5s until the end of July:

$2250 cash back or 0.0% APR for 60 months

Unless you're going to get a ridiculous percentage rate to work with or you don't intend to keep the car for 5 years, take the money.

College graduate rebate of $500 if you graduate within 2 years (have or will) from point of purchase from a 4-year accredited university. Otherwise it's 6 months (+/-) from a community college.

I paid $16470 (delivered) for AT, ABS, moonroof/6-cd on my P5 after all the incentives with s-plan pricing.

You got a very nice deal! Problem is.. I can't buy the car in July.. only August. Also, what is s-pricing?

This allows you to buy the vehicle at 1% below invoice (I believe that's the rate). Whatever the case it's just slightly below invoice pricing.

You need to work for company that is a Ford supplier or if your mom/dad does than have them co-sign it with you to qualify.

I just bought my pr5 alittle less then a week ago. I got a 2003 (not 03.5) and it has the 6disc changer, moonroof, alloywheels and locks and the roofrack, which is apparently an added option on the 03.5 (or something) Its a manual tranny, I got it for 19100 after tax, tags and the whole nine yards. I ended up paying around 14500 after rebate/tradin.

lol, you dont have to have a package to get 4 wheel discs with the p5...im sure youll like the quality of the mazda better than ford

is there really a $2250 rebate? looking at mazdausa.com i only see mention of a $2000 rebate for the p5. also i went to a mazda dealership over the weekend and they only offered me a $2000 rebate. can anybody calrify this for me? thanks

2003.5, SportShift Auto, Loaded, AllPower, Moonroof, 6-disk changer, etc..
Paid $17,400 out the door with 0% financing. Not a Ford Employee and have no relatives that work for Ford or subsidiary but I actually can get the GM discount but after owning a bunch of GM's I have decided the suck.

after further research i found the rebate amount depends on which state you are in. I don't know all the details but apparently for California the rebate is only $2000, but $2250 in other states like Texas and Indiana.

I think we are all forgetting something here in this conversation. Drive a focus, and your just one face among a large LARGE crowd. Buy a Pro 5 and enjoy the occasional double take, because the Pro 5 looks great. I'm not knocking the ford, its a good car now, but you cant go wrong with the Pro 5. I've had it for 6 months and Im still doing the second glance back in the parking lot.

yes rebates are region-specific

i got mine almost a month ago, got the dealer down to 14k before i signed anything ( have to work the dealers) after all it came to 17k after my trade in since i owed 2k, package was 5spd, cd with stock sub which makes the car an 03.5 alloy wheels, no sunroof, no roof rack (dont care for them) and remember what FORD stands for!!!!!!
F$!@ ON RACE DAY is what i say

The financing is region specific too. The last time I heard a Mazda commercial on the radio here in SoCal the P5 and 6s were excluded from the 0% offer.

I guess I didn't do all that bad...not sure if mines an 03 or 03.5, bought it about a month ago. Its a Laser Blue 5spd, with the roof rack, tweeter kit, and wheel locks, $14,100 bofore taxes. I got every possible incentive applied to the car and took all but $500 of my trade back in the form of a check. Was a nice deal, just catch them at the end of the month, and they'll work with you fairly feverishly.
