How much did you buy your used P5 for?

I'm trying to sell my 03.5 P5 with every option and I'm wondering what people have paid for a USED P5. My car has less than 7K miles on it also. If you would list the year, options, mileage, color, asking price, price paid. I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to guage intrest for this particular car.

Thanks.

i would wait to sell it. as you probably know, dealers are practically giving away new p5's. someone in texas said they had them for $13,000 out the door near them. this means that trying to sell a used one will be hard unless you price it very low, which i dont think is what you're looking to do. you'd probably be lucky to get $10,000 at this point. it sucks...

^^^^ Yes, They fell through the floor when the 3 came out. Unless you find someone who is in love with the P5 you might have to bite a bullet on the price.

Later...Good Luck...If I needed a third car I would be interested.

hell, if i had the money, i would be interested. the only thig etter than a p5 is 2 p5's....

oooo, i could see it now. one for work and day to day driving. the other for 'fun'

mine is an 02' white p5, 5speed, has everything cept sun roof, leather, disc changer, it does have cd and tape player though. they were asking $14,995, but we talked them down to $11,200, after taxes and everything was $12,400, we also extended the warranty. had 19k miles on it.

I got my new one on Dec 21st 2003 and paid $13556 (taxes, title and license included..) out the door on a 2003 p5 with a six disc, moonroof, subwoofer, 5 speed, alarm system) They just advertised the last 2 on the lot for $9999 - no options, but kinda hard to beat 10K for a NEW one...

true...like I mentioned I'm thinking $14 MAYBE $13 for mine with everything it's got included. the P5's here are still going for a bit more than the MSP's. I have about a month and a half to sell it. before I take delivery of my new car.

after checking Edmunds.com the dealer trade-in value is about what I owe. I figure maybe they'd just buy it outright from me. If not I can always leave it unlocked and park it in Southside for a few days.

make sure you get what you want for it...i think $13-14K is a bit much to ask for, but i dont know what you have in it.

I bought a used P5 (about 3k miles on it I think) for $3,500 and my 2003 PT Cruiser. They gave me 10k on the cruiser so I guess I paid 13,500 for the P5.

If you must sell right now, you will most certainly take a loss on it. They are just too cheap in most places. I would think that just keeping it uninsured in the garage for a year or so would be the best bet. Depending on your location, it could go from anywhere from $9000-$11,000. Sorry, I just don't think that you will get any more than that for it. I got my loaded (minus alarm and leather) P5 for $14,800 out the door about a month and a half ago.
Good luck.

you may have to figure out the difference in Canadian/US dollars but we bought our P5 nearly three months ago for $16000 canadian(approx. $13000US). It has every option but leather as well. It is red, had 55000 kms on it(35000 miles???) body is immaculate as well as interior and had 7% tint on all windows but the windshield. The asking price was $16000 and i paid it simply because at any dealership around here they are selling around 19500 canadian so it was a great deal in my eyes and worth every penny as far as im concerned!!! BTW it is an 02 model and good luck on the sale!!!

Mmmmm, nice car.
Why not keep the Protege? They are not expensive to run and maintain. Plus, it will give you something to use as a practical car. And I have heard that those RX-7s are not always entirely reliable. Still one of the best looking designs to hit American shores that doesn't have a prancing horse on it.

I have a 1995 Civic that is super reliable. The protege is nice, but not my dream car. I've lusted after the FD3S for years now. I have the oppurtunity to buy a very nice one. I'm going to see where it takes me.
