how many miles

17,500-ish since Feb 21; new tires at 15,000; currently in for service with a fried body computer that the dealer doesn't want to warranty ($1600). (yupnope)

Don't have any details yet. Have to go talk to the stealership tomorrow and see what kind of BS they're trying to feed me. By the time I called today, they were closing in 15 mins.

this is probably off topic, but i see some of you mention an "air bag sensor" recall. Whats is that all about? Someone enlight me please????

On earlier builds, an over-tightened airbag sensor may crack, which may let dirt in and subsequently fail. If airbag sensor has failed, the airbag light on the driver instrument panel will be on all the time (note: the driver instrument panel airbag light is different than the passenger airbag off light that is beside the lighter). So as long as the light is not on, you don't have a problem (though Mazda will still inspeact it if within the VIN range).

30 000 miles since december 21st 2004. I got to replace the air bag sensor, the engine temp sensor and thermostat and the engine under shield (cart board piece under the front of the car). All of that was under warranty. I'm still on the OEM tires, but will have to change them this year that's for sure. So far, the car is very reliable and doesn't cost much in maintenance. It doesn't cost much in gas either. I just got back from a trip to Quebec city for the Christmas holidays. I live in Florida so the one way mileage is about 1700 miles and it cost me around 95 $ of gas to drive that far. My father has a Ford F-150 with a V-8 in it and he estimated that to do the same amount of miles with is truck it would cost around 300 $. Just for that I really like my car.

30K mi in < 1 mth???? .. you mean 2003 right? damn that's still a lot. i thought i was driving a bit 6000km in 6 weeks (drive)
