i'm gonna keep her till she dies. i figure if i do constant oil changes at 3K mile intervals and regular maintenance at specified intervals, she'll be good to go until at least 300K. and i average 7K miles a year... so that'll be about 40 years. hee hee!!! wooo hooooo.
I'm buying a P5 in a couple weeks. I'll drive it myself for two or three years and then probably turn it over to my 14 year old daughter to drive. I usually keep my cars about ten years, with the exceptions being my Z28 which I only kept five and my Blazer which I've had for fourteen years now.
Mine's only a lease so I'll have it another 3 years. I love it but I really want to move up to a Mazda 6 and it's 220bhp. I just don't know whether it will be the hatchback or the wagon.
Next summer looks like the end of the road for my P5. BUT... I may end up paying her off soon and keeping her as a everyday car... I figure that's the least I can do since she's treated me so well. But next summer after I go into practice I gotta get something nice to reward myself for ALL the years of school I've been in.
I've kept several cars for 10 years/150K miles, and I expect this one will be the same - I never seem to get tired of them, but then I only buy cars I really love, and after lots and lots of thought.
I just got mine in January so I'll be keeping her for a long time. Besides, if I got rid of it, my 9 year old daughter would really be upset; she always reminds me that she will be learning to drive with this car. I'll probably buy another car in 2-3 years.
Well I plan on keeping the ol P5 for at least 5 years. We will see what happens then. May buy other cars and keep the P5 or may sell it and move on. But don't plan on that for at least another 2 years. Have too many things I want to accomplish with this car.
