i noticed in ego central virginia i see alot of goons driving there nice performace car like they are in a jacked up chevy with 26" wtf. i just think it looks funny when you can hardly see past the steering wheel. i mean dont get me wrong it dosent bother me if its a thug'd out car/truck but if you see some one in a evo/sti etc etc it looks straight retarted

well im 5'11 but i sit pretty upright not to were its uncomfortable, i feel i have more control of the car that way

I usually tend to put my ass cheeks on the seat, with my feet going towards the pedals. I have found that any other combination (ie upside down with hands on pedals) just isn't practical.

back: one (sometimes 2) click(s) down from the closest it can go
seat: with the back adjusted, i stick my arm out on top of the steering wheel and i pull the seat all the way in. then i start to move it back until my wrist is comfortably resting on the wheel.

Yeah, you see some loser -- the seat back's all the down, the driver's hanging on the wheel just to stay somewhat upright. Or, they're lying down in the passenger seat or slouched against the door. Usually there's a cell phone occupying all the "driver's" attention.

same here, except i have a slight bend in the elbow

in addition, im tall so the seat is down as far as it can go, i also have the lumbar all the way out, and im fairly upright .

sorta on topic, today i saw the 2nd new vette with an older woman driving like she was steering with her tits. i don't know what the hell these women were thinking getting vettes, but they must have bought themselves alimony gifts or something.

Yeah some people do the gangsta sit as far back as possible. God help them if they need to do any real maneuvering to avoid an accident. I sit so I can have my left hand on the top of the wheel with a slight bend in the elbow. Im 5"10 so I sit pretty close at medium height. I find it difficult to shift well when im stretching for the clutch.

geeze finally some adults up in here and people who know what im talking about. yea it too funny to see the short girls with there face pretty much in the wheel. wouldnt want to know how it ends up with the air bags go of in a crash

did you ever have a sandwich too big for you to take a bite out of, so you decided to mash down on the top of the bun? yea, that's how i think it would end up, with your ketchup and lettuce coming out the sides and stuff

and as for "finally some adults"....there are 2 things you can do about that. either 1 be mindfull what you post, or 2 grow some thicker internet skin.

personally i am a more serious poster, but there are some times when a Q is so out-of-whack that it deserves an ignorant answer/comment

Height dropped to the floor.
Up pretty much upright.
Close enough where I can depress the clutch comfortably.
Steering wheel up a bit and telescoped all the way back.

I actually sit a couple of clicks closer to the pedals in this car than I have in my older cars. The clutch feel just wasn't there when I had my leg extended, so when I moved it up I found that by keeping more of a bend at the knee allows me to make smoother shifts and keeps the catch point closer to where I'm used to. Upper body has enough lean to be comfortable but relatively upright.
