Honda's Silver Paint

01 CR-V... hadn't been washed in at least half a year, maybe even a full year. Numerous scuffs on the paint from rubbing up against all sorts of stuff. Brake dust baked on the rims.

I washed it, used the claybar, buffed out the scuffs with a lot of finger power, put rain-x on the windshield, and gave it a layer of Nu-Finish, and it looks like new, paint looks even better than my 02 P5, which has been given a LOT more attention throughout the years.

pics? The clay and polishing likely removed a bunch of oxidation, which made the difference quite noticable.

The CR-V was done about a week ago so it's gotten some new dust from being driven around, but still doesn't look too bad.

I just did the P5 today. Washed very carefully because I learned last time that you kill the claybar by having dirty spots. Then used the claybar and a good portion of the mothers instant detailer that came with it, and then used some turtle wax ice, which gave decent results for shine but didn't help the swirls much. I might not have used enough, but it's hard to gauge what's enough when the stuff is thinner than water, and less visible too.

...I took a bunch of really nice pics at a nice park, in glorious blue skies and sunlight.

And then I accidentally deleted my entire photo collection. 10,000 and at least five years worth of pictures.
