Home depot lip

Buy a proper front lip...considering the time wasted on installing and uninstalling this thing...it's not even worth the $20.00...

and as far as function...I don't see it holding up to well under 60mph wind forces....so basically it is non-functional and it's known everywhere as a cheapass way to get a "lip"...

Homemade splitters can be made well, but the garage door seal lip is just not worth the attempt....

Well, maybe on a $4K Honda Civic...or old schul Miata...but NOT on a new MS3...for gods sake...

Sounds like you are simply speculating. Do some reading and you will see that the suby, evo and many others have been using these home made lips for years now, and theirs seem to stay on whilst traveling over 60. I don't see why you would think it would be any different for us?
I guess I am confused with the negativity of your post. I mean, it's not like we have a plethora of lips available for our car, so why not a cheap, temporary alternative?

It would actually protect the bottom of the bumper quite well, I wish I had put one on my Protege when I had it

I went to Home depot and bought enough material to try a front lip, sides, and even rear add-ons.

Just didn't get aroubnd to it so I bought the real lip and sides and had them [painted and installed them myself.

I have read up on these lips and on the srt4 forums they have some nice quality pics of them installed! Very nic elooking and cheap for the money!
