HKS SSQV with BPV adapter..

i dont recall anything that turns on it
it's hard to explain. if you look between the BOV itself and the actual piece that bolts to your manifold there's a snap ring there

you have to get a pair of snap ring pliers, apply pressure to the snap ring, and rotate the BOV

ok yes i remember that when i put it togeather ok so i have to turn it. how am i damageing things to the car? how do i know when its right?

when the vaccum tube thingy(excuse my lack of technical knowledge of this device) isn't rubbing the hood.

you ARE aware that's the part that tells the valve to open up and release pressure, right? if that becomes damaged, that means all sorts of bad news for your car.

Oh Ok Not A Problem Then I Went To Autozone Got A Little 90 Degree Black Peace The First Off Changed The Hose Size From From The Hks To The Size Of The Vacume Line And It Also Changed The Direction So There Is No More Rubbing Then Ever Thing Is Fine Then Right It Still Hold Boost Like A Mother I Kinda Like The Flutter Sound Its Diffrent So Everthing Is Fine Then Right?

I have a cx-7 but same basic motor little diff turbo but I get the "flutter" also it just sounds like the air turbulance cause the way that the valve is positioned only does it around 3k + on mine and it will only release the smaller valve if im under that so I'm pretty shure its working right. I need to get a boost gauge to really make shure though

sry to kinda thread jack but does anyone have an actual picture of which way the HKS BOV should be facing or clocked or whatever u wanna call it... basically a picture of it installed correctly... i have one coming in the mail so it might help alll of us for the picture

what it comes down to is there is no wrong way to intall it i moved mine around alot an still couldent get it sit with out just so ever lightly rubbing but you will need to head to autozone the valve peace on the hks is way smaller then the vacume line on your car i hope you can aford 60 cents.
makeing any sence i am sorry if it dosent

but then you have the issue of VTA, the car will run riche between gears..
and if you want to wait a month for them to eventually get around to shipping your order(forge, not PG. protegegarage has the best customer service i've encountered)

i have the hks in recirc, its loud enough for people around me to hear it an ask ( you got a turbo) it makes a slit flutter sound with a bit of a hiss but be for warnd it dose rub the hood

Hey, I have the HKS SSQV havn't installed it, want to install it as recirc...you have any sound clip? or video clip?

I didnt like the sound of it.... I decided to VTA, it doesnt reallly have any drivability issues or anything. The little stutter that it may have, isnt that noticeable whatsoever. But it feels pretty much the same sa it did when it recirced, feels good.

I am running VTA with my HKS and have not had any problems with it or any driveability issues, and it sounds great! lol

I Got my HKS SSQV, Going To install it tomorrow. I'm Leaning more towards VTA. I installed the MS intake and holy crap am i happy with that investment.

Needs to be reclocked on the 6.

also, the recirculation tube needs to be flipped so when you reclock(or twist the bov so it doesn't rub), the tube sits flush with the recirc piece.

also remember to buy screw adjustable hose clamps as the recirc tube on the end of the bov w/ the factory clamp tightened is still too loose for the recirc piece on the bov.

It's a tight fit but definitely do-able.

Sounds much louder than the stock bpv recirculating w/ cai and holds boost a bit better.

Do not VTA. Thats for ricers that do not know its not good for the car and think it just sounds good.

recirc w/ cai/sri is loud enough period.

installed the hks on recirc. its pretty loud......fluttlers.......makes the girls wet........what more could you expect haha.
on a serious note. It was an easy install (except the damn c clamp). but yea, even on recirc it sounds great.

btw, its the good HKS kind of flutter, not the "i'm gonna destroy my turbo" kind of flutter
