hks ssqv, vac line rubs on hood and breaks!

so like it says, just got the ssqv kit. i put it on my car, the bov is perfectly perpendicular to the bolt holes on the flange. i drove the car around and it fluttered like crazy, pop the hood and the hood vent plastic seems to not have enough clearance and the metal vac line on the bov rub enough to 1. tear the line and 2. etch a mark in the plastic piece...so what to do? well i got a brake line cutter and cut about 2mm-3mm off the end, as much as i pretty much could. i even twisted the bov counter clockwise a bit to bring the metal line away from the hood maybe .5mm or so. still rubs, i believe barely. line still breaks. it's one of the brand new ssqv's with the fins on the side. anyone else have any problems with theirs or any pics of how it's angled and what not...i'm going CRAZY!!!!

the brake line cutter put a nice scratch on the back of the bov and having to screw with the c-clip pliers has scratched the s*** out of the base of the bov and the flange...first set install it was perfect. i'm f*ck*n pissed now....

but if im recirculating i can't do that without making a routing of new hose, which ends up hitting the hood. if i were to reclock it to vent towards the front of the car with the regular fin fitting it doesn't hit at all. i still haven't been able to figure anything out. im gonna try to bend the line downwards on the next attempt

Not sure what you are talking about I will take a pic of mine and show you.

Here this is what I'm talking about and hopefully I understand what you are saying. Your talking about that little hose in the front that used to be on top? As you can see I reclocked it so it would be on bottom.

LOL No Problem man that is what I'm here for.

I didn't think you would understand what I meant till I showed you a pic LOL (drive)

yeah i thought you meant you turned the bov 180*, and then i inferred that you were venting, either way though, i bent the line down and it's doing the job perfect. if i have a problem ill just re-clock the rear. anything special on how to do it besides take out the screws?

I've found you can also adjust the hood bumpers on both sides higher and that will stop the ducting from rubbing too harshly on the line. I think I am going to get rid of the HKS and go with the Forge BPV since it's a little more stealthy and not such a PITA (snap rings and all)
