HKS C-Ti 3in Exhaust System

Man I cant wait for this to come out, I am going to buy it from you guys whenever it comes out no matter how long its takes. ********** by far has the best customer service I have ever delt with. Just the simple fact that you guys called and let me know that the turbo timer I had wasnt in stock was sweet. I have had bad customer service at other places that would never have called and just let it go until it finally got here. Thanks for all your help and I am looking forward to having this system on my car whenever it comes out.

Also do you have any idea whatsoever how much the system is going to cost?

Matt

Yeah that stuff is sick. I was gonna go with a apexi muffler system and choose the black polished muffler but this one looks hella better and sounds better. Question, is the muffler going to be mounted angled like that j spec style?

I do believe so, if you look at the picture taken from the rear of the car, the muffler is offset and pointing up at an angle. I personally love this style and hope all is going well finding the gaskets...

The exhaust is coming along, we will be using mandrel bent, 3 inch, stainless steel and v-band clamps, everything bolt-on. Like I said before, it will be turbo-back with the HKS C-Ti muffler.

Estimated costs for the catback with the "best mufffler on the market" is $700. (I estimate high). We can chince out on the muffler to cut costs, but that would also mean cutting quality which I don't see myself doing. The entire turboback stainless steel exhaust system is projected at $1300.

Free shipping as always.

can you make one with a apexi n1 muffler option?? The Hks bling titanium carbon fiber really doen't change performance. 150dollar cheaper N1 would be fine.

Awesome. Just think about a discount for those who go all **********:) I already have the hardpipes, and am going to get the SMIC and turbo-back depending on results.

If you change the muffler, you will be changing the sound of the system. I haven't had much luck with users enjoying the sound of the N1. Thats just from experience on different applications.

I can do all N1 but I do not believe the sound will be as appetizing as the C-Ti. I like to do things right the first time. I am not saying the N1 is wrong, but we will be more pleased with the C-Ti as muffler.

You know it Sean (Jurgs), I enjoy helping you guys out. We will all be getting into the 13's together. Hope you guys send all your guys to the site, appreciate the business.

i'm interested, but one ques, i don't think i can take it if its too loud, how loud is it? as loud as the corksport?

I want my exhaust to sound mean. As far away from the ricer honda exhaust as possible. I imagine the HKS with 3" catless piping will scare people a block away. I am looking to get into the high 13s without upping the boost then comes the tuning and increased boost...

Well we had an N1 on a turbo'd GSR with 3inch pipng and it definetly sounded a little too ricey. It was replaced a month later with a tanabe muffler.

Supman- This is a race built exhaust, no cats, no resonator. It will be louder than the normal bolt on catback with the cats still intact. At first, it was much louder compared to stock, but I have had it for a month now and I am used to it, and pleased. I do not find the sound overpowering, just intimidating.

There will be a silencer availible for when you need to drive grandma to bingo also.

The turbo changes and quites down the exhaust. It won't sound like a N/A honda.
Oh, I know the HKS muffler catless won't sound like the normal ricer hondas out there (most honda owners can't even afford just that muffler let alone weld it to their 1 3/4" piping LOL). I was just saying that I wanted the deep sound that it brings.

**********,
Are you still planning on replacing the stock S-pipe with 2.5" piping, and then having an adapter or fitting in the middle of the midpipe to 3"? Hope this and the SMIC come out roughly the same time and both have good results so I can get them together.

I attached a pic of what the DP will resemble. Instead of using flanges and a gasket, we may use the v-band clamp in the picture which acts as flexpipe and flanges/gasket.

We may be able to do a SMIC and exhaust GB all in one.

I had a built turbo civic that had over 20k invested in it. I know many honda owners with expensive pure jdm mods. Don't be so ignorant.

Just to make sure, the turboback system will include the s pipe (downpipe) the midpipe catless, and the rest of the piping leading to the bling bling muffler, correct?

similar setup

had a similar setup with custom piping replacing everything from second cat to the back (second cat and resonator removed), but after the thrill of that nice and deep (no hich pitch sound at all, especially at high rpms) sound started to wear off, the HEAVY DRONE inside the car at downshifts when pulling up to a light, or letting off the throttle was, pretty much what would make me snap almost everyday, especially i the hot FL sun, when shutting windows for A/C only made sound worse.
So today, i go back to the muffler shop, and have them install a resonator (too bad i left the original that was removed for it cost me an extra 65 bucks to have this one placed), i also had to have the new piping that goes over the axle bent to a better fit for the earlier setup was rubbing and banging on bumps and such.
as for respose of the car, i'm not totally sure i feel any less power, for the resonator does cause restriction, but i have to say, the sound is that much better, it is now muted to the point where its more than tolerable inside and sounds awesome when you hear it coming from the back of the car and not from within the car. guess i've gone overkill on this post, so i'll quit now, hope it helps.

All depending on the cost of this kit, cat-back, I'm going to have to weigh getting a custom exhaust with the HKS muffler with the bolt-on kit offered by street-unit. I'm hoping for a good price as I really really like this muffler and exhaust setup.

Keyword: MOST. Read before you make a statement like that. Did I ever say EVERY honda owner? Open your eyes. I am done with this I will keep the thread for exhaust updates.
