HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

I wanted up top to look stock. I made a pod for the wideband in the left vent. But it kinda stuck out. This way the two gauges are together and the Sc switch is in a good location.

Gotta look for some boost leaks, im only at 6.6psi. Ill be taking the piping off this weekend, slapping on the HKS and moving the piping around for a cleaner look.

Also going to move the SC inlet so I can fir the SpeedCircuit straight water neck kit in. (as the lower rad hose is touching the headers now) Got lots to do. Ill be getting a check from my workplace for my safety boots and that will be enough money for the dyno efforts. I just want to get the piping situated, get back to 8-9 psi and have the tune ready by then.

whatever happened to the second fan.... are you just going to piggy back the second one on to the existing?

Thanks my plan for sunday.

Sick build man... Keeps me inspired.. Goin to be installing the piping sunday also. Just running some new plumbing...
And waiting for the Splitsecond unit i ordered

I didn't have the mounting hardware to install the second fan. But I will soon. As for hooking it up. It will be on a different circuit using a relay and switch. I'm going to try and make a central plate that will have all the power, relays, and grounds for the gauges. With fuses. Well see how that goes.

Keep it up Flip!

hi i was wondering if u where selling ur skunk2 coilover sleeves that what 2003.5_MSP said if u are i will buy them asap

Big Update

So I got alot of stuff done tonight. After finishing the new inlet pipe last night that compelled me to finish the rest of the job earlier this evening.

1. Assembled new Inlet pipe
2. Assembled new outlet pipe with HKS BOV flange (so BOV is now on the hot side)
3. Re-Sealed the second part of the header with Copper RTV. (The good stuff)
4. Ran new wires for the Supercharger switch to the new panel. (finally hooked up the light as well.
5. Cleaned up some of the extra wires that I had from previous gauges and what not.

The only problem about today was I for got the 45* coupler that would go on the 45* pipe from the IC to the MAF.... =( I cant put it on till tomorrow. (hence the ultra custom short ram intake with custom smashed air filter)

So tomorrow first thing after the wife leaves for work
1. assemble cold piping.
2.pick up parts for new coolant tank. (I plan on getting the 505 Cold air box so my current setup wont work)

semi short term
3.Wait for straight neck (replacement for the one my wife "accidentally" threw away.
4.Replace front driver wheel bearing
5.Replace rear brake hardware. (sounds like a train stopping when i brake rolling backwards)

Before I can dyno
New Spark Plugs
505 Cold Air box
Oil Change
Fix the axle/muffler (sits about1 1/2 off the ground because of the extreme angle)

Now for some pics (Sorry for the bad pics, these are from my phone)

Earlier mock up of SC inlet

Nice work, mate. But what's this 505 cold air box you speak of?

@ funk I have a new one just like it =) lol

@Lewis 505zoom has a cold air box in the works right now. (look at my posts. It'll be in there)

For the life of me, I cant get the HKS bov to work with my setup. At first I thought it was the BOV, so I got a new one. Then I thought it was too close to the MAF. So I moved it to it's current location. Does anyone know why it won't work?

EDIT

Looks like I need one of these.

This is why my hks doesnt work.....****.

OK. Just got out from the driveway. I think i may be the first person to try TWO BOVs (HKS V.3 paired with a Greddy RS) This worked because the greddy stays open in vac while the HKS is closed at idle. (which is why it didnt work by itself) So I thought I would give it a try. I was pissed that the HKS didnt work anyways. So ill either go with something else or stick with the greddy.

All vids were taken from my Iphone so deal with it. lol
Anyways here is first start up. (with the Dual) I was having problems with the HKS, when the SC was on the idle was erratic and would not properly build boost.
(CURRENTLY LOADING)

Here is a little test run.

Here is a quick look. Keep in mind this setup is not permanent, so whatever you see is unsat, it wont look like that when im done. lol

Looking good, but I can't help but dislike the left most switches in the gauge pod...the pod itself looks great, but I feel it is a huge distraction...personal opinion...looking awesome though...
