HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

yep the AFC is always working, look at the map and see if the numbers are funky

if you can, you could tune it out, but thats like covering up a problem IMO
there is some reason your car is leaning out there...or at least there should be lol maybe you can get away with just adding fuel right there

well i gotta say they look awesome
how do they sound?
could you make a quick vid when you get a chance?

edit
how are they mounted and did you paint them red or did they come like that?

They came like that. You can find them on amazon.

Yea im going to check it out tomorrow.

Who said the ssafc is only activated during boost? It's always working. You can tune out of boost also. I'm sure you can tune from -24hg to about 15psi
yep ill have to check it out

thanks!

i think i found it on the SSAFC. Cell 3500rpm @-9.5psi is where it keeps hanging up. thats where the problem is. the current setting is at 8.9 Should i raise or lower it?

OK Fixed....

Now waiting on price quote for the pulley and putting together either a FMIC or air/water cooler. Still thinking about how I want to do this.

So whats next?

Azulke is hooking me up with the machine shop to get the new crank pulley made.
I should be seeing 9-10PSI. Then ill be moving some piping around with a front mount intercooler which should have a pressure drop at 1-2psi. So that should put me at about 8-9 PSI.

Ill get it re-tuned and I believe I should be over 200hp. "hopefully"

I am also looking at opening the exhaust up (still stock with headers and a tip) to maybe about 2.75" or 3. Straight pipe.

Also some cooling mods like an intercooler sprayer for those Hot Lap SCCA sessions. Also adding the slim fans.

Oh I also got a new intake filter. lol

Booo still getting the same problem...... I just cleaned the EGR and seafoamed....no help...=(

same lean spike?
same spot on map?
have you tested for boost leaks?
did you try the hair spray trick?
how was the quote for the pulley?

Is this at light throttle only or is it like a sudden dip lean when getting on it a little then it corrects itself.

Not sure if there are something similar to my throttle pump settings like with my haltech. Boosts the fuel just for a sec then levels out. It is a setting for me at 4 diff rpm levels from 1500 to 3000 how much fuel to add and how long before it diminishes.

Ahh it's the second one. When I press the throttle the afr dips to 17-18 and the car feels like it bogs down for about 2-3 seconds the turns to normal.

I have a SSAFC right now.

edit,

Now I dont think that the SSAFC is the problem. I just ran my custom map, SS map, and and another map....still I have the same problem...It has to be something mechanical...

2.75" exhaust seems too big, just throwing that out there since I can't help the real problem. lol

The general idea is that the SC doesn't run off the exhaust like a turbo, therefore the bigger pipe is not needed. You basically follow the same exhaust idea as a NA would which is 2.50" or so. Thats what I gather anyway.

Just curious if you added a check valve on the vac line leading to the egr boost sensor which is right behind the passenger side strut. Supposedly the ecu freaks out if this sensor sees boost. Only other thing I could think of other than a throttle pump adjustment in the afc software if there is one??

couldn't find throttle pump adjustment or anything like that.

Also pic on said check valve..lol

Also it's like this without the supercharger also. (no boost)
