HKPRO5's Supercharger Build Thread

Sure.

Getting the exhaust ready to be welded. Once I get that done Ill be hitting up the dyno. Other than that.... I got some projector headlights.

I cant wait till I get the exhaust in. Right now the tip that I have the weld broke off for the mount. going with a 2.5" straight pipe with an N1 type tip.

Not sure yet. Once I finish the exhaust (got all the parts, just need to cut and weld it together) I'll be going to munky wurks for a dyno session.

The first time I dynoed I was at 160hp

Things different
9psi from 4psi.
440 injectors
FMIC
2.5" straight pipe exhaust
Way better air/fuel map
Intake pipe with new filter

I'm shooting for 200+ but well see. Maybe in Feb or March.

Update!

About 1/3 done with the exhaust. Pretty much finished the midpipe (yes that is a Honda Civic High Flow Cat) At the bottom of that, ill be adding a V band flange that will connect to the S pipe.

I already pre cut the two 90* bends and all the straights, I still have to pie cut 2 45* bends, get more hangar material, and weld up the muffler. (N1 Style 2.5 in/ 3.5 out)

If I can get this done by next week Ill be shooting for the dyno second or third week in Feb.

why dont you just take it to the shop and have them assemble it for you? it wouldnt be expensive

That takes the fun out of building a car. I have done everything myself with this one. I believe it gives the car character.

Also I can weld so its free. Why pay when I can do it my self just fine? lol

^ +1,000,001 ;)

I do everything myself on my car too. Anyone can just buy parts and have a shop install them. That's not very impressive. But buying the parts, installing them and even doing the fab work like HK is doing is VERY impressive. That and I don't trust anyone else working on my car... heh-heh.

Looking good, mate. Good luck on the axle section, that's gonna be a b****...

I know, that's why I Haven't worked on it yet. lol

The thing with doing it myself if something breaks/ goes wrong I only have myself to blame.

Only thing Ive had a shop do was press the PS pump pulley on for me. Things like that I bite the bullet and take to a pro but if Ive got the ability and means to do it myself Ill give it a crack before I take it to anyone

i mean yeah i never get anything but my exhaust done to my car. its just something that seems worth the money

Little update. Ran into some trouble with the SSQV. Here is the link. This is only at idle.....

I dont think the ssqv is working right. Either way I swapped back to the Greddy for now.

I should be picking up a set of long tube headers from a Mazda 626 2.0 Im going to try and get them ceramic coated. So project exhaust is going to get pushed back until I can get that finished.
