Hit a curb need help

Well on my way to work the other day i cut a corner to short and now i have some scuff marks and scratchs on my rims. I purchaced aftermarket rims from Gianelle, chrome lip and black spoke cover. Now is there anything i can do to smooth out the lip that is scratched and chipped. Or would doing anything make it worse and screw up more of the chrome? Any info about any kind of pointers or touch up technics would be a great help.

Im not sure of how you can do it yourself, but there are rim repair shops that work wonders.
