Just letting you know I got a 1987 RX-7 today for $300. I'll post pictures later.


Quick, everyone tell me all the parts I have to change so it won't explode on me!!

Well, I was at work today, and this guy who works in the deli (I work at a grocery store) stops me. He usually asks me s*** about cars, so he knows I like cars and driving, etc. Anyway, today he's like, "Hey Will, do you like RX-7s?" I said, "When you get them to run, yeah, they are sweet." Then he kinda looks at me, then says, "I got one, do you want it?" I asked him how much, and said I couldn't afford a 2nd car, etc etc etc. Then bascially he tells me he needs money really bad and this car had been sitting at his parents house for a year.. Long story short, I gave him $100 cash and I said I'd give him the extra $200 after I saw it. Normally I wouldn't buy a car sight unseen, but it's $300 and I work with the guy. If he tried to rip me off I think it's legal in the state of Florida to kill him. He's a nice enough guy, and he needs the cash. He says it's a 1987(or 86, I was pretty excited so I can't remember.. Duhhh) gray with a black interior and a five speed. He said the previous owner had an aftermarket clutch but put the stock one back in when he bought it. He also said it needs minor body work and has a new 150w custom built alternator in the car I can have for free too.

His loss is my gain. Even if it's a junker, it's a $300 junker and it's mine!!

Good buy. Even if it's a POS and won't run, I think you could probably get your money back in parts if you wanted the hassle. In any event, Good luck.

Turns out it's a TurboII. YAYAYAYAYAY, I am getting it towed to my house tomorrow if it doesn't run.

So I went over there and opened the garage.. WTF, FIRST GEN BODY STYLE? It was a 1978. Not an 87. Welp, next paycheck (we work at the same place) I am getting my money back. ******* retard.

Coolant leaking from carb, radiator that was on it's last legs, 4 flat tires, bent frame, heavy body damage, missing interior pannels... etc etc etc.
