Lisakay:
Haven't decided. Probably the short-shifter, because I decided on teh B&M unit. Exhaust, I haven't decided on. Maybe someone can help me decide. I've settled on these finalists:

SR motorsports cat-back $399
Racing beat Cat-back $439
Bosal Cat-Back $399 from New Edge Performance
maybe the Greddy EVO catback, but that puppy is $500+30 s/h

Intake, I like the induction dynamics unit. I dunno yet, though.

Alexlitov:

Yup - 5 speed. Not enough huevos to get the Sport AT!

Another pic at dealer, on 5/21. If you look carefully, you'll see all the plastic is still on the seats, etc... I also had the dealer remove the (crappy) pinstripes the W. Palm Beach dealer put on, as well as the black plastic things on the wheel-well lips.

go for racing beat!!! That's what I'm going for later~!
and you forgot to add skunk2 cat back for $600 he he

Nooooo...I put a $500 cap on it. Too dang much money. I paid Like $599 for the Neuspeed/Borla exhaust on my 2000 Beetle GLX (lease turn in in less than 30 days). Too much money.

Anyone got the SR Motorsports exhaust?
Anyone got the Induction Dynamics intake?

How 'bout pix of a B&M Short Shifter install?

Here is a couple pics of mine taken today. I've had the exhaust for about 7 or 8 months.

No options. Just a catback exhaust system. The sound is nice and deep. Does not buzz at all like some generics or like that crappy civic down the street. You'll be very pleased with the purchase. And the price has dropped since I got it.

I really couldn't say what HP gains I got out of it. SR Motorsports say they gained 9HP on their dyno... *Shrugs*

Thanks! I fell in love with the color at the lot. He had a P5/Leather/5sp/moonroof, but the older model without the sub, so I found mine on the mazdaUSA inventory search, and had him dealer-trade for it. I am MOST satisfied. The color is really outstanding.

Azeli73:

Guess I found my cat-back? I REALLY wanted to avoid a fart-can like those civics and integras, cuz' they sound totally ridiculous.

Thanks for the info!

I have the MP3 racing beat exhaust, shortened a little. You can check it out if you go to the Tower Shops on friday. Also have the B&M short shifter w/ kartboy bushings. Kinda a like a try-it-before-you-buy-it.

Looks just like the one I'm gettin in a few days...I had a hell of a time finding any laser blue ones just how I wanted (left coast of FL), but we finally found a suitable one with 5 speed, side airbags/abs and a 6 disc changer...Only thing I think you need to do to that car cosmetically is to ditch the roof rack, I think - it makes the car look so much more sleek for some reason.
Nice choice either way and I'd probably go for that Racing Beat exhaust simply because of all the work they've been doing with Mazda. Enjoy it - it's a kickass car

Shark - how'd you run at Rev It Up? I was there too...only managed to post a 419 best - it probably would have helped if I had slept the night before :p oh well - it was still the best $40 I've ever spent

Get the Racing Beat. Probably the best bang for you buck and it's a nice system for a budget. The B&M I just got 2 days ago and installed. Very nice feel. I think it's better than the kartboy since it's not as short physically. It's nice and tight w/ the stock bushings and the right amount of play makes it a nice short shifter.

Rhawb:

Grrr! I don't wanna talk about it......

Ran on Sunday, in a friggin' monsoon...then they go out and send a friggin' wet specialist to index....he was running laps as fast, or faster, than Hart was running in the damn dry!

What a friggin' STUD!! This guy had the '6 EVERYWHERE, but was clicking off VERY low 33's in the RAIN! I was impressed!

I ran a 38.675 against a 34.something index: 491 pts

Twas fun to thrash someone else's car, though ;)
