Tink mentioned this section, but for some reason havent seen it before. Sooooo Hi. In Rock Hill.

Cool. Hiya TitanB (I don't check this area very often, either). Abbeville, here. I believe 72 links Abbeville and Rock Hill, maybe about 2½ hours apart.

In fact, I have relatives in Rock Hill (sort of).

Hey TitanB. Sorry I didn't mention it sooner, but I'll actually be at an autocross event in your neck of the woods tomorrow (Saturday Nov 1)! There's a test-n-tune (sort of a laid-back, no-points autocross -- good for practice, and for first-timers like me!) at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill.

If you're not busy, and are interested, I'll link to directions. If you just want to watch, it's free and you can show up any time before 3 or 4, and I think the first car is off at 11am. If you wanted to participate, just take out anything loose in your car or trunk, also your floor mats, and be there in time to register betweetn 8 and 9:30. I think it's $20 or $25. I understand there are still plenty of spots left.

Also, if tomorrow doesn't work for you, the next day is a regular "for points" autocross, same time and place, just FYI. You don't have to go to one to go to the other, but if you do both there's a combined price that saves you some money, I think it's $35 for both days. Might be cool since it's right near you. I wanted to do both days but have to be back tomorrow evening so I won't be able to do Sunday.

Anyhow, sorry for the really short notice but I remembered too late that you're right there in Rock Hill! Regardless, I'll put up more auto-x information when I get back. There are some other SC Mazda folks interested in knowing more too, and I've found some clubs looking for more action and participants.

Take care!

Thats very cool, im at work on the first(today), but thats right down the road. Im literally like 2 mins away :) Work sunday as well, otherwise Id come by and watch.

Awesome! Sounds like the same types of cars as Saturday. I was definitely the only MSP, but there was kind of a sea of Miatas. I had a blast, and will definitely be looking forward to more of it. Maybe I'll see you out there sometime!
