you can do it at home in like 2-3 hours

man its super easy to do it your self and you can rent the spring compresser tools from any autopart store and its like $60.00 and when your done and if you bring them back the same day you get your full $60.00 back ..and all you will need is a sturdy floor jack and some Jack stands ..and I mean you and a friend could punch it out in like 2-3 hours .. i just did my eclipse take a look

dude...you GOTTA resize those images.....they were WAY TO BIG.....geeeeez come on...lol now if I had a wide screen monitor...that would be differnt.....

if you need help doing that....there are more than enough members here that can help you out......try to keep images for your posts no wider than about 600 pixels at the MOST...k?

do it yourself and skip the spring compressor. i did and it is a breeze. just have a friend who knows something about cars help you and you should knock it out in a few hours. then go straight to the alignment shop. i ordered my springs from no limit motorsports $195 shipped to my door.

well If these picts were a problem I think someone should have spoke up by now since this is the size of every pict I post ..no need to remove them to make your point . and if i had known how to or gotten the right answers the first time I had asked I would have !

also to the other reply .. i was offering the safe way about it .with out possibly causing the person the option of puttin himself in danger .. i mean sure it can be done tha tway but why not get the proper tools and do it safe and it would take you the same amount of time

do not just shoot springs around!!!! it is very dangerous if you don't feel comfedent in your ability to take on a project like this don't atemped it its not like replacing a wiper blade.
you may be able pay for labor at your dealer and they will swap out the springs for you, just kiss your warranty good bye. good luck!

I paid $100 to get them installed by a pro, he said it was pretty easy but if you dont know your way around, dont bother. It took 1hr for my mech to do. usually a shop will do them in about that time if they know their shiz.

first off, i don't think doing a spring job on any car without a spring compressor is a good job but our cars have almost no compression in the front and absolutely none in the back. you could also unbolt the top of the strut assembly and use a jack to lower the spring. second, no way any mechanic did the springs in one hour. it takes 20 min to take the plastic out of th back and another 20 to put it back in. i have to throught the BS flag on that one. good luck either way you will love the way the car handles after this mod.

It is pretty easy to do the swap.....take off one of your wheels and check it out before you decide to do it....and another thing.....screw NO LIMIT MOTORSPORTS.....i tried ordering the springs from them and they said send the money, and when I did they told me the springs were on back order.....and then it took them like a month to send the money back.

i thought springs didnt affect the warranty...they dont really have anything to do with most of the other parts on the car

oh contrear bonjour! Changing out the springs would void most factory drive train warrenty and voids all warrentys on suspention components. because it changes the ride hight intended from the factory, it affects the cv joints, as well as your anti-swaybar and dampers plus depending on how basterd-ish your dealer may be the could blame other things on your springs
but don't let this get anybody down eibach is a very reputable company and they deffanatly know what there doing when it comes to springs.

springs and warranty

this myth of springs and voiding your warranty is all up to your dealer. Mine told me that every dealer has the right to change or make changes to your car warranty as they see fit, and well mine felt that if you lower your car under 2 in you are ok. If you lower it any lower than 2in you must do the whole thing, coilovers struts, etc. So before listening to these none knowing kiddies out here talking about that check with your dealer. Its up to them. Later

Hey Guys,
If you try to do it yourself, remember, safety first!!! It is not hard to do. I manage & do all suspension work at our shop. We would get $175.00 to do the job. That would include a 4 wheel alignment. Make sure you get that done as soon as your springs are on!

I did my spring install in 2 hours from beginning to end, with the help of a friend of mine. The hardest part was one of the bolts on the right rear side, because it was put in awkwardly from the factory. We didn't use a spring compressor, because the amount of pressure on the springs is a joke.

you wouldn't want to align the car right after a spring install would you? doesn't the car take a few days to settle? so when you get it aligned right after, then your springs settle, wouldn't it be out of alignment again?

You're right. You want to wait a couple days to let them settle.
