So I bought a new ssqv tonight and just wanting to make sure before I cut stuff up....is this the way to do the setup?

looks right.

What is that other line coming off you intake that goes to what looks like a catch can (just below your rad overflow tank)?

Well........did the setup tonight. Very disapointed with the sound now. the BOV is a wimper of a sound. not even loud enough to hear over the radio at low volume.

Is there anyway to reverse this setup? How would I block the hole I have now in my pipe?

Man this was a waste of $240

post a pic of the new set up, I'm curious. Also, what vac source did you Tee from for the BOV?

what's the big deal with running the twin bpv/bov setup? on another note, and sorry to threadjack a bit, but if you're to run the maf near the tb and, say, that hks ssqv before the maf, would there be any more added benefit of still running the stock bpv? just seems kinda dumb to have to run twin's. btw, that's the setup i was planning on running when i get the fmic together and in.

that's a much better setup, the MAF relocation setup, that line from the intake may just be a breather

i have run the dual setup for quite sometime with no problems. "much better" ? is that from your experience of running both the dual setup and the maf relocation?

mmmmm actually no, i know people who have relocated though, i'm running dual myself and i actually don't really have a complaint about it

then why claim it is much better?

how much boost is the OP runnning? BOV are not train horns. What vacuum source is the OP using?

I recommend using the brake booster for the BOV and bpv vacuum source.

my bad, probably benefit more when making big power

i honestly believe the only time it will help is at low power/less mods.

I believe people's a/f ratio leans out due to some of the pressurized air "slipping" through the MAF undetected with the MAF relocated. Since less air is measured, the ecu dumps less fuel. Thus, the a/f is not the typical pig rich.

I see no other reason to run with the MAF relocated. The units were built to measure the ambient intake air (unpressurized), hence the reason of its location stock.

I know that it allows you to run a BOV without a bpv as well, but i would rather run the dual setup and leave the MAF in the correct location.

When making big power, you will have an ems. You will not need air to "slip" by the MAF to change the rich tune (since you can tune the a/f with whatever controller you have bought).

Running a full standalone, no need for the MAF at all.

So in the end, if you have all of the tuning components, the only reason to run a dual setup or a MAF relocation setup is to allow you to run a BOV (whether it be by itself or with a BPV).

But again, i would rather choose the dual setup if i did not use a full standalone ems.

agreed.
