Hey guys im looking at getting a new exhaust but i really dont have that much to spend. what kinda exhausts can i get for somewhat cheap? i would prefer to only get a catback, possibly a Corcksport? but i cant find it. anyone have any links to nice exhausts?

thanks

corksport is the best value by far. they have a 2.4" and 3"

protegegarage.com or corksport.com

yup CorkSport is deff. your best bet for an inexpensive exhaust, sounds good too.
even better when you can pick one up used cheap!!!

I have made up my mind and will get an exhaust as well. I would like some opinions. I am debating whether to go with the Vibrant turbo back exhaust or save a bit and go with the 80 mm Corksport cat back. What do you guys think?

the vibrant has a hi flow cat and is a j-pipe back(not turbo-back). the coksport is catless and starts after the j-pipe. is the cat and j-pipe worth the extra $200+ to you?
cant go wrong with either one really

On ProtegeGarage there is a Vibrant turbo back exhaust for $805 and there is a Perrin J-pipe exhaust for 699. Is what they are calling a turbo back exhaust really only a j-pipe back?

yes the vibrant starts after the s-pipe. the corksport and perrin start after the j-pipe. i dont think you can get the perrin anymore

minimal if any. to be honest the 2.4" corksport is more than adequate for these cars

Are you going with a new exhaust for performance gains or just sound?? The reason I'm asking is because a "Cat Back" really won't give you too much gain. Your best bet is to upgrade the Mid pipe!!. The stock cat back is actually pretty good for low-moderatly modded MSP's It's that damn small diameter Stock Cat that is the problem. You can pick up a used midpipe for $100 here. Be a rebel and go catless for best results and sound!!!!!
You you plan on high boost and tons of mods go 3" if your only looking to do a mild build 2.5 should foot the bill!

Mid-pipe is def best bang for the buck, or my favorite....weld in an electric cut-out after the j-pipe, and run it open when you're driving in a "spirited" manner.

Well, I just ordered the Vibrant exhaust and theres no going back because its shipped already. Protege Garage is fast! I was going for maximum gains in power. Also another question is do I need to upgrade anything else or is it just a bolt on

it is very tempting to get the new 80mm exhaust CS is selling now. Im not trying to create a monster like the guy in Spain..although it is a well built car. Is it strongly suggested to go to 3 in. after you reach a certain HP range? I have the 2.4in CS exhaust on my car now and I planned on getting the CS S and J pipes but CS doesn't have any in stock right now. Is 2.4 in good enough for high 200-low 300(referring to HP)
