Hey all-

recently my desk did the *unexpected* omg... it jus died - so i had to reset it... after reseting it, my sub worked... damn I've been missing out. So i've been blasting music now, but every so often... all of my audio will cut out for a second... on my kenwood deck all the sound bars will flatline for a second... whats going on?! (help)

with radio or CD?
It could be the head unit over heating or un general failing.

forgive me if this post is stupid- if it werent tied down shudnt the whole HU just shut off? the sound jus cuts out and the HU display flatlines.

btw, my sub cuts in and out now too :(

Did you remove the sound deadening mat for the hood? I recently had the same problem as you and found out that the postive terminal was hitting the hood (bare metal) during bumps and melted a small hole.

great suggestion.. i have no sound deadening mat... but i switched to evo cfhood, so thats fiberglass, no metal :(

Your remote turn on leads connection might be failing. I can't remeber if that was a single wire on the kenwood head unit or not. If it is, then the sub and power antenna rely on it for power.

The turn on circuit in the head unit could be dying to

I think that's more of an insulation thing, so the paint doesn't start to peel off the top of your hood from extreme heat.

its a little from column A and a little from column B

This is why the power terminals should aways have some form of cap with it.
