hey guys, i live in toms river on whitesville road. i'm really tired of only seeing 2 of my 3 gauges work on the a-pillar. if anyone would like to earn some extra cash installing an electric oil pressure gauge for me i would be very greatful. i do not have all the tools needed to do the project at my house so arrangements will need to be made. also if anyone is feeling ambitious i have a joe p fcd and some kartboy bushing that need to be installed as well. if you would prefer i have the stock sparco shift knob joe ps fpr and a mechanical oil pressure gauge that i was going to sell but will exchange for help. please pm me if interested.

Where are you located in New Jersey? You could come to my house sometime and we could do everything, maybe the day me and my buddy goku install is GHL turboback exhaust.

I installed my Defi oil pressure gauge by myself but I really lost touch to installing stuff like that because it is a pain to get to the oil pressure sensor in my P5. I assume you have a MSP because you mentioned the FCP? My grilfriend's brother is a mechenic and he has all the tools (well not all, but most) to get you hooked up. The only problem is that he is in Clifton. If you can swing by (or drive all the way up) to him I can hook you up with him. And of cause I'll be there too. If you don't mind... :P

can anyone recommend a good shop around the ocean county area that will install an oil pressure gauge?

I'm trying to install a Defi A/F Ratio Gauge and need some wiring help. Where did you hook up your wires?

The following are the connections I've made so far.

White (Illum.) - Blue/White wire on dimmer switch
Black (Ground) - Green/Black wire on dimmer switch
Red (12v constant) - Fuse tap to cigarette lighter
Pink (O2 sensor) - Tapped underhood sensor wire
Orange (2nd Ign) - Black/Red wire under steering column

The gauge isn't working or getting any power at all so I'm assuming my connections are wrong and/or my ground is bad. If I have a bad ground, will the gauge turn on at all?

Appreciate any help/suggestions you can provide.

try putting your ground to an actuall grounding point on your car. (between screw and metal piece of frame. there are plenty of spots to choose from under your dash)

i have a extra T fitting that i used to install my oil pres gauge, it alows the autometer sender and the stock sender to fit in the same hole

let me know if u want it

You were right, my ground was bad. I also had to move my White wire to a different wire on the dimmer switch. Now it works fine! Can't dim it with my dash lights, but that's okay since I never dim them anyway.

THANKS FOR THE HELP!
