Help... 02 sensor plug . . .

hey guys ... my msp was wrecked and repaired, only thing is that the 02 sensor wires that can be seen from the hood compartment right above where the turbo is mounted has been stripped, no plug in on mine anymore? anyone upgrade and do away with this sensor and have an xtra with the sensor on it laying around? or know a way i can get around this so i dont throw a cel? the harness off of the 02 sensor is only about 8 inches long ... but its almost 300 bucks new from the factory ... (with the 02 sensor) ... any help is appreciated ...

I'm not exactly sure if I followed all that. You need that O2 sensor to be in perfect condition, I highly suggest not making half-ass repairs to it. There is no way of removing that O2 sensor and having a car that runs right. That is the main input to the pcm for fuel control.

definately cant remove the oxygen sensor.... I believe you are confusing this with the catalytic monitor which you can remove.....
before cat = oxygen sensor (can not remove)
after cat = monitor (can remove in most cases)

welll....

it is before the cat, its right in the manifold when it comes out of the motor, hope im describing this right, all you have to do is lift the hood n look at it.. ill get some pictures, you can see clearly from the pics... my car has'nt felt like it was 100%... maybe this is the reason.... i have to say though, of all the car forums i have been a part of this is definately the best, props to you mazda owners .... any help appreciated in advance ...

I know which one you speak of, get it repaired correctly as soon as possible, this is why you car is not running correctly.....

its supposed to come on monday. if i understand your post correctly, you need the plug/connector from the sensor side, right? if so, i can sell you my old sensor and you can remove the connector from it and use it.
