New to the forum.
I Have an 07 Cx7 awd sport 2.3 turbo. Bone stock.
Basic maintenence done on my own. 104k miles.

I have done searches for over an hour and I can not find anything on changing the trans fluid. Intervals just say check. Then I call my local mechanic he wants $181 bucks to do it!!! He says it has to be Mazda fluid! I have never heard of this. Is he jerking my chain?

I also have an 07 CX7 and changed the AT fluid at ~ 50,000 miles. There is no specific change interval but, suggest checking color and for burnt smell. The only recomended fluid is Mobil #3309 which is T-IV which can be bought at Toyota for ~ $5.xx per quart. You will need ~ 4 quarts to do a pan drain and refill. The only other fluid which states it meets the spec is Castrol Import AT. $181 is for a complete fluid exchange I assume.
