Makes me sad though that Talon owners have gone from knowledgeable tuners who can get the most out of a simple setup to ricers whose first mod is a BOV and they have no tuning experience...

Seriously though, I'm the guy that has been selling the MBC's to all the MSP owners and the FP reduction kit. I also have a 487 WHP Talon, so I know the potential of each .. From a holeshot it should be close if he can drive worth a damn- but I should take him. From a roll, I would be disappointed if I didn't pull away from him.

Well, I think those AWD Talons ran what like 12 PSI stock? Now take into account the added weight of the AWDrivetrain, and the losses to the wheels thu the drivetrain. This person only upped the PSI a few, and was not probably tuned properly. Joe most definitely had a boost controller turned up. I have caught, and passed a stock Eclipse GST (95-98) when I was at 6 PSI.

Umm.. OK.. Like I said, I definately know DSM's and at 15 psi, they aren't much.. Now if he would up it to 21 and run race fuel, it would be over .. I have run 12.9@102 in a DSM with 20 psi, 116 race fuel, gutted cat and a 2.5" press bent cat back- all else was STOCK!!! Again, I know their potential. That is why I said it is a shame that the new DSM crowd is how it is..

Haha- I am not the only one who carries the brochures and other MSP documentation in the cargo net .
