Heat soak causing my hesitation?

My car begins to really hesitate in first gear after driving long distances like interstate driving of 70 mph + for long periods. when i get to the city and stop at lights to take off the acceleration is really sloppy and hesitates at about 3000 rpm. anyone else having this problem. doesnt hesitate any other time than this

yea i have it but dont know what it is - does it only hesitate from 3-4.5K rpm?? and only under boost??? thats what i got ... do you have a vibrating noise at 5k rpm also???

mine is especially prevalent in first gear. not realy even under boost yet i dont think, cause all of a sudden power kicks in. its wierd. i wish the turbo would just provide smooth acceleration. no vibrating noise though, what gear are you in 5k in? i usually shift at about 3.5k

i had a lot of carbon looking buildup on my exhaust too. im running stock everything, have done nothing to it. I dont know, i think i need to take it in. it seems to be getting worse

its unbearable. i want a front mount to rid the problems of this tiny assed intercooler. would that void the warranty? i cant see how it would hurt the car in any way...but im sure mazda would find a reason

Well, this is a never-ending debate. But if you have a dick for a dealer, he "could" give you some s***. BUT, there is a thread around here about a replacement side-mount that fits in the stock place and relieves that damn heatsoak. Just try a search!

searches suck! its like a sweet lemon, people tell you to search but then dog you for bringing up old threads. I like new threads with less pages and different people answering. I think dr. sound was the one on here with that intercooler though, i dont hear too much about it anymore though

Well, screw 'em! As long as you find what you're looking for, who cares what those people think. Actually, I could have sworn there was already one available? (side-mount, that is)
