Headrest movement

I have had many autos in the past with adjustable headrest. I am struck by my 2014 CX-5 GT, as frequently I discover the headrest moving somehow by itself higher than the lowest setting. I am wondering how does this happen. My head doesn't rest on it and the opening and closing of the door doesn't seem to move it. Anyone know how this happen or is this a quirk of my particular auto not found on other CX-5? It has me stumped! Is it supposed to do this?

Does it not lock (click) on the position you want it to stay?

I wanted it all the way down and every day I have to push it back to where it needs to be. Annoying and if I could figure out why, perhaps I could modify what ever I am doing.

It happens to me as I settle into the seat and adjust my posture my shoulders get underneath the headrest and that pressure is often enough to raise it out of the lowest position. It bugged me a lot at first, but I've acclimated and do as minnesotaart does: push it back down every now and then.

My 2010 Mazda 5 did this, but only on the driver's side. So far my 2015 CX-5 has been OK, but it's new. I never was able to figure it out. The stops worked fine, but still things moved. Weird.

Yes, weird. Now I have to crash it into a tree, get the insurance money and buy a different car. So much effort!
