I need to remove my stock head unit and after searching around I found that I need tools to do so. Where can I find these tools? Is there another way to remove it without the tools?

Thanks!

i got the tools from auto zone. they come in pairs and you'll need two sets.

thanks! i am gonna head over there tomorrow and check them out, how much did they cost? and could u take a picture of them so I know what I am looking for?

yea. they cost like $4 i think. i dont have them with me, they are at work right now. but they're metal and U-shaped. i will take a pic before i leave work but i won't be home until 7 if you want to wait.

I think you can even get them at wall-hoe.

I had a bunch of micro screwdrivers and those worked fine too.

Hows does the adapter is working for you? Any advice, I'm planning on buying one.... I was looking to see if anyone had the time and expertise to get to the back of the head unit and just hook up an aux wire to it just to play the iPOD.....

hah, i had this same problem. I didnt go out and buy the tools, i was too impatient. me and a friend used a bunch of nails we had lying around, and a pair of screwdrivers to help pry it out. it didnt work. we ended up taking the headunit off piece by piece, it was such a pain in the ass. i have all the pieces in a bag in my basement if anyone wants it lol....
