Hawaii Honey Moon

Malasadas... oh damn... there was a place we stopped at on the way up to Kohala that made some kickass malasadas. Maybe it was just north of there on the way up to Waipio. Can't remember now.. I'm so hungry :(

I like the big island; I don't think it's all that touristy. My mother-in-law lives in Kona and my wife's cousin is in Hilo. My brother-in-law is on O'ahu in Hawai'i Kai. So we always have a place to stay for free. :)

Speaking of food... I miss the huli huli chicken. Could really go for a bento plate too... Damn Texans... can't find good barbecue here lol

That's it. Thanks for the reminder. I can't wait to go back there. We sat and ate like a dozen of them in the parking lot. My tummy hurt after that :)

Depends what you're in to and how much money you plan on wasting. Oahu is a good party island. Tons of touristy things to see, tons to do, and tons of shops. The water is ok but not my best pick for beaches. The absolute best beach I went to was Manale Bay on Lanai. Took my ex wench there for our 10th and it was soo nice and relaxing. Diving was great, snorkeling was fantastic because theres so little traffic there the reefs were simply amazing. Overall a pretty boring island, but very beautiful and peaceful. The big island is cool but a bit big and major things are pretty far away from each other. So far my favorite island is Maui. Plenty to do and plenty to see. My most memorable moment was freezing my gonads off pedaling my happy ass up Haleakala with the occasional van of tourist monger bike trips almost running me off the road, then seeing the most beautiful sunrise in my life then finishing with the n00bs doing the suicide ride down the mountain on crap bikes, although disk brakes would have been nice for the descent. Still haven't made it to kauai, but from what I gather it very nice.

Cliff notes: I think Oahu would probably be a good choice for a young couple (thumb)
