Has anyone re-wired their foglights?

I want them to be on even with the high beams. Just seein' if anyone has tried and was successful. I saw it done on a WRX but not on our cars.

I wired mine to stay on when the lows are off, but I think they still turn off when the high's come on. I think the reason for that is so you don't melt your wiring harness... but I could be wrong.

mine r wired to stay on when the highs r on...works like a charm...

Why is this something to go out of your way to do? Nobody should ever see your high-beams so it can't be for looks... Not to mention high-beams count for 2 sets of driving lights, which is the most you can legally have on at once (fogs would make 3). Only reason I can think is if you want to fill in a little bit on the ground since the high-beams shoot light further away from the car

I like the way our foglights illuminate the ground when they are on. I want that all the time. Definately not for looks. It s for function.

I can't seem to find the thread from Bumble G. Is this it?

you can never have to much light.. we run back country roads (twisty and hilly) a must to light into the turns as well as far down the road.. not needed as much if you only drive city streets

It's quite helpful to aim your fogs up a bit too. I think i'll be able to drive with mine like they are now once I get some brighter bulbs.

Mine are rewired but only come on with parking or the low beams. They still go off with the high beams. Even If I have only the parking lights on with the fogs on and push the lever to the highbeam position the fogs will turn off.

For those of you who have done this, how difficult is it and how long does it take? I've read the how-to, but want some real world opinions. I may be doing two or three cars next weekend, and just wanted some input. Thanks.

It took me like *maybe* an hour and a half. (I take a lot of "beer" breaks (lol2) )

It's easy enough if even a GIRL can do it.

Did you get it done?

Just wondering has anyone wired them to light up by themselves not wired to anything else. So that everything is off excpet the fog-lights(shrug)

Yeah, back in the beginning of April. Took about ten minutes (no beer breaks!). Granted, they still go off when the highs are on, but that's how I wanted it.
