ok... so i have trigger... it counts well.... but no spark.. im trying to set my timing and failing... anyone have any ideas? a walk through or something... hell base settings....

First, what is the trigger at last home count? Are you using a cam sensor as well, or just the crank trigger?

Second, what are your ignition settings? Stock coils?

Using home... I have to check because i gave up for a few days... I decided to buy a ra 10 because my came aren't picking up a signal.. And yes stock coils.. I think the firing order is off..

Firing order? Youre running batch or multipoint. There is no firing order. If you're using the CMP sensor for a home you need to run the 626 exhaust cam gear.

Did you read my HALTECH install thread at all?

Is your spark edge set to rising or falling? If it was set to rising you fried your coils.

Why do you have your coils set to constant duty if you're using the stock coils? They're constant charge.

Try 5ms to start, fix timing at 15*. Once you put that 626 cam gear on that is.

lol ill try and see tomorrow... i googled it and looked and looked and havent found anything just yet.... is the 626 cam a hall pickup? or is it just generally different from the fs? obviously i need the cam sensor too.... but something that is odd.. is why isnt the haltech picking up the protege cam sensor? ( i have taken 2 of the three lobes off... however it still isnt picking them up at all...

Post your trigger settings. Also, again, what is your "trigger count at last home" value. That will tell you whether or not your seeing the cam signal.

The 626 sensor has only one pickup, but it's in a different orientation compared to the protege one IIRC. I have a few spare gears in my shop, I'll have a look see next time I'm out there.
