Hey guys, I have a 2009 CX seven that I bought from a coworker. It’s been a good car but last week it overheated on my way to work. I had just gotten off the interstate and pulled to a red light, I felt a bump as if someone had tapped me from the rear.
I noticed the temperature gauge was almost to the H so I pulled the car over and shut it off. I let it sit for a few minutes to cool down and since I was just around the corner from work, I cranked it and drove it on in by the end of the workday I decided to try to get the car home instead of towing it. The car cranked and ran fine until about 2 miles from my home. The temperature went up again. I pulled it over and shut it off and called her buddy to arrange a ride , after our 15 minute chat, I realized that even though I shut the car off, I left the key on well when I started to crank the car it would not crank.
I figured I had run the battery down some I put on the flashers and he came and picked me up , a couple hours later I came back to get the car home and the flashers were off at that point. I figured the battery was completely dead.
The plan was to jump the car off and drive it home. but after a minute or so, we decided since I was very close to the exit ramp that he would push me to the closest parking lot and get it off the interstate so he did when we tried to jump it off. It will not crank I didn’t know if maybe there’s a fuel reset, somewhere that I don’t know about or can find. I’ve checked the fuses and relays and put a code reader on it and it’s not showing any codes. It will turn over but it will not crank oil is fine if any of y’all can help I really appreciate it.
