Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2

i didnt wait out for a copy but my friend was kind enough to buy a few copies and pass one on to me. i know that sooner or later i'd buy it so that worked well.

i liked halo, mainly for the multiplayer component and after playing some halo 2 here for the last two hours i don't think my opinion has changed - the game's nothing to worship but has some nifty additions aside from the graphical touchups you expect after two years, but its not like the new high watermark for video games. mulitplayer is just as fun as it was in the first and the new map, weapons and vehicles will make it that much better. definetely a very good game, but (as expected) overhyped. people act like having two guns at once is a big new thing. perhaps if you didn't play Duke Nukem 3D nine years ago or Perfect Dark three years ago it is :)

i was kind of pissed that the single player game cut out inexplicably due to disc read error/faulty dvd error. never had that happen with any xbox game. hmm...hope its not gran turismo 2 all over again :(

this should not lead anyone to think I don't like the game, I do, I really do and am sure looking forward to some :DSYSTEM LINK PLAY:D. Tomorrow I'll be trading in Star Wars Battlefront for the new Mario Tennis wo I am sure my attentions will be consumed for the near future.

after three hours of halo2 im spent, but i must admit the two gun option is sweet even if its not the first time its been done. New wepons, playing as covinent, smoother graphics. All in all a great game, but I agree it was a bit over hyped. Im sure microsoft doesnt mind though.

it is a pretty good game. Gets hard this time though. I'm battling the Flood again, and it's getting nuts.

But, it's not the best fps in the world. I still hate playing with a stick. I still hate how I can't turn off the damn LOUD music( or can I somehow? ) . The graphics are nothing to get excited over. There was more variety in the levels at first but the level I just finished was a bit repetitive ( had to keep finding and going down these huge cylinders over and over) I found the first halo very repetitve, but I do like the variety in this one better so far.

The story is pretty cool, and playing as the alien is neat. Overall I'm very happy with it so far, but any good fps from PC is better then this. The two gun idea is nowhere near a "new idea", and it's neat and all. But I find that some of the guns are so big that they really create some huge blindspots.

Co-op I have yet to try but expect it to be the same as the 1st one.

agreed... in the time it took them for that i would say halo3 should have been out. Campaign is way to easy if you ask me and i hate having to watch every movie cut... Been playing it for a while ill say i passed the game up quickly and the online play is so so nothing diffrent really.

Metroid Prime 2 will pwn Halo. This time around Metroid has a great multiplayer...Halo still has jack for single player!

im waiting for Super Mario Paper Edition Living in Full Color 3095. Nintendo never fails to disappoint.

well the single player is apparantly only 10 hrs. WTF is that all about??? this long waiting and it's only 10 hours.

bulls***.

I didn't know this until i read a review on gamespot today. I don't give a rats ass about multiplayer anymore. How many death match, catch the f'n flag, team play bulls*** games do we need?

i don't think i'd want a game like this to last more than 10 hours. car racing... that's another thing. but how many 20+ hour shoot em' ups do we really need? that would get old with a quickness.

i saw some kids last night at my game stop that couldn't have been older than 10. that's what i think is bulls*** because i know it ain't the parent's idea to wait in line until 1am to pick up a game.

OMG the game is awsome!!! dual weapons rule, not feeling not having the pistol and the shotgun is not as good, but the game is alot of fun
worth the wait

o i'm not complaining, but the pistol in halo 1 ruled, the one in halo 2 is pointless....

well, if your into spending 70 bucks Canadian ( whatever US) on one game, and your mostly into single player and like a good story, then Halo is a disappointment. 70 bucks for 10 hours? Might as well rent it, finish it in one day.

Personally, with games asking the kind of money that they are, 10 hours is pathetic. Now, Far Cry was worth every penney if your into single player.

had my game preorderd at best buy mid october
was there midnight
in and out in less than 1/2hr
played so far total of 10hrs

CAN YOU SAY AWWWEEEESSSSOOOOMMMMMEEEEE!!!!!

def. worth the wait(yes)(yes)(yes)(yes)(yes)(yes)

Let's be honest though, I think the vast majority of people don't rave Halo 1 or 2 for it's story mode, it's the multiplayer split screen/system link that brings out the real fun in the game.

Dude, all of you that didn't make it on openeing night..you sure missed out. Great site turnout, we all had some fun!!! Check the list on the main Halo 2 thread and make sure all the Mazda peeps are on your list. See you online!

OH man..game r0xx0r. Although the sniper rifle don't have night vision anymore!!! WTF!!! And I can't snipe w/ the pistol either..frick!! Everything looks good. AI is kinda off. the Elites dont' attack as much. This is just on Normal mode for now.

Who here got the Platinum Edition? With the 2 dvd set? I haven't checked the extras yet.

(rockon)(headbang)(rockon)
multiplayer is the only reason i bought halo 1, i haven't tried the system link on 2 yet, should be a lot fo fun

I was very dissapointed with the single player gameplay. It took a little less than 8 hours playing it on normal and watching all the cinematics. It is a little more realistic though. Now a guy running up to you with a shotgun can't get picked off by a pistol before he gets within shooting distance.
Oh and the ending blows for the campaign...

I haven't even touched the campaign. Multiplayer is where its at. It's the best console online shooter by far. (Note I said console. I've played better PC shooters online.)
