I don't know if I got this thing called a manual...is it under that fat book lookin' thing in the glove box???(confused) JK.... yes if it wasn't the very first day of ownership I might of looked harder but we had had it 18 hours!! the brakes issue was exactly what it felt like to me, warped rotor, they turned it, frankly I think they should have tossed on a new one but I didn't argue, it doesn't vibrate now. its such a cool car and ive never actually had a cool car before, im a motorcycle guy...(yes)(yes)
The window is an easy fix, but even I had to call the dealer to tell them the farkin window wouldn't go up.
As for the rotor, I'm sorry you didn't post here before you went to the dealer. If the car is new, push the dealer hard to not turn the rotor, but REPLACE the rotor. Turning it takes metal off the rotor making the brake have to work harder in the long run. The car is new, the rotor shouldn't warp, although sometimes it can happen if it is really hot and you run through water.
My wife's suby (back in 2002) all four rotors warped. They turned them. Then two more warped. They turned them. Then the car became unsafe and I dumped it. You could press the brake peddle to the floor and the car would slowly stop instead of stopping immediately. They wouldn't replace the rotors under warranty, so I dumped it on them.
And yeah, the gas mileage, get used to it. If you take it easy on the highway, you should be able to get 20-24, but around the city, be prepared for 14-16. Some (very FEW) are getting 18.
I find it interesting that on the new Mazda 6 commercials and Mazda 3, Mazda flaunts the MPG. But when they play the Mazda CX7 and CX9 commercials, they don't talk about MPG and they don't even put the MPG in small print. (shady)
