Jeph said:boost/vac is a must, the oil pressure is a good idea, but make sure its electric not mechanical. A mechanical one will flow oil into the cabin of the car. Which is bad if it springs a leak. personally i'd get a wideband, because an egt still has to have a sensor, and doesn't seem nearly as effective as wideband.

I understand wideband is the most accurate, but it seems way too expensive to me. Also, I dont think I need that kind of accuracy if I wont be tuning on the fly. I still dont really know exactly how EGT works, but it seems to be right in the middle of these two for accuracy/price. And A/F would obviously be nice because of the price, but is least accurate. If it was accurate enough to let me know if I was running DANGEROUSLY rich or lean, I think that is all I would need
Jeph said:of course, i'm a genius. the best thing about the wideband isn't that you'll use it to tune ont he fly. Its that is shows you HOW rich, or HOW lean. The narrowband will show you that you're rich or lean, but not by how much.
FOR REAL! I have the mechanical oil pressure guage and lost my car for a day and half over a .20 cent fitting. I was repainting my guage pod and when I was putting it all back in, the damn oil line came out of the crimp ring that keeps it inside the brass fitting. Oil everywhere in the cabin, and I obviously couldn't drive it until it was fixed. From experience, go electrical. LMAO! cool, cuz its over $100 cheaper!Jeph said:eh, for boost not really. Mechanical seems to be more accurate i would think
