GT25; Stay or Go? What do you guys think?

This man speaks the truth. Never buy anything from ebay if it has moving parts.

I had a regular sleeve bearing T3 and it leaves the T28 in the dust. Even Neox noticed the difference, I got him the same smaller T3 since he said he wanted a perfect daily driver. Almost no lag with that turbo either. Very easy to drive.

For the cost of a disco I'd rather go and convert to a T3. Its just a few hundred more.

I forgot the forged factor so T3 would be an option. BUT now your talking built tranny ect. GT28RS easily takes the the tranny to it's and well beyond it's limits. The T3 takes the tranny to it's limits easily quickly!!

That will work, yes. Buy it from wherever you want...Just stick to proven manufacturers I.E. the brands listed here. It's not like Ebay made the turbo. Plus, the warranty on turbos is a joke anyways, trust me. Whether it be Garrett, Precision, Greddy, HKS etc... They will ALWAYS find a way to make the equipment failure your fault. It's business. All they really take care of is defects of manufacturing that are found before you install it.

Yeah, buy a T3. So you can buy a new downpipe and exhaust manifold to go with it.... Those saying a T3 is better than GT28rs, have you owned both ? Or are you kinda blindly insisting your setup is better ?

Additionally, if you can keep yourself from driving like a douchebag, your tranny will probably be fine... Half the reason all these things break on our cars is because they're weak, the other half is because people don't take that fact into consideration, and consistently launch their car like it's a god damn Pro Street dragger.

The real question here is "How much power do you want, and how deep are your pockets ?"

I only currently have the GT28RS and love it..I have done plenty of research on the T3 and many seen to be very happy. The nice thing about the GT28RS is that it's a near stock bolt up replacement. You need to do some oil/coolant line fab but the exhaust is all bolt up. We even got the stock plastic pipes on till my new stuff had come in

I'd def like to hear from those who ran 28RS's and switched to T3's. I have genuine interest in this, not just being a dick.

A buddy of mine has an MSP, and we put a GT28RS on it. Having driven it, like everyone else here, it pulls damn hard. He set his boost controller to 10 psi, to match the PSI I'm running on my T3. He got a little jump, but in the end I had put some cars on him. Don't have the time slips, I think he does.

I'm not so much interested in who won a race(too many variables) as I am in knowing how the turbo performed in different areas. Lag, spool time, the way it breaths in dif RPM ranges. I was hoping someone ran a gt28rs, then switched to a T3 and thought it to be the better performer. I'm thinking I'll just stick to the 28rs for now.

Major thread jack on my part here...sorry bro.
