grunting brakes

Hey Cx9 owners, pls help!

I have both Cx9 and Mazda3, however the brake on my 3 has been making this noise. 'Tried posting a thread on Mazda3 forum but seem nobody's interested. i've been reading Cx9 and surely I learned lot of things from you guys. Hope some would throw their 2 cents on this.

So here's my trouble. From stop while my gear on drive, whenever I let go the brake pedal (from mid to last few cm) I hear this annoying grunting sound. I had a corolla before and same problem appeared but only during after I wash or only whenever the wheels get wet, and it stops/disappears after few minutes of driving. With my 3, it's been >6mos now. Luckily, haven't had any accidents nor other serious consequence. Brakes still strong but hope I'm not messing up with other parts of my car. Can't afford any repair nor to have an accident.

I'm taking my 3 to Mazda next week, but hope to get feedback first in case they say it's normal plus all other excuses.

I have this same problem, but i only have it when it rains. It is definitely annoying and had me wondering what the heck was wrong with the car. But after a couple weeks of monitoring I noticed I only hear it when it's raining.

My 2006 Mazda5 used to do it as well, and now my CX-9 also does it. Must be a Mazda thing.

sometimes my cx9 does it and my previous cars, but it disappears after couple of days unlike my Mazda3... lets see what will the service say.
