I just read the back add in my new issue of import tuner and to my suprize greedy is making their evo cat-back system for our cars! hooooraaaayyyyy! (yippy)

i saw that ad too, it made me happy, but i bet it will be for the protege5, making it like 4 inches too short for us :(

yeah...i think it's for the p5...i had emailed them a while back and they replied that they were making an evo for the p5...didn't ask about the mp3 or msp

You could probably get a muffler shop to weld on an additional 4" for pretty cheap. Not perfect, but just a thought.

Just from greddy....

As of right now, we will just be releasing one for the Protege 5, but I'm sure with time we will offer something for both the MP3 and the new Mazdaspeed Protege. Please keep in touch with your favorite Authorized Greddy dealer for more updates. http://greddy.com/dealers/

Why do you guys keep asking about just the MP3...Ask for the Protege sedan, and it'll fit ours as well.

UHHHH WHERE ARE YOU GUYS FINDING THIS INFO ON THE SITE. lOOKED EVERYWHERE AND COULDN'T FIND A SINGLE EXHAUST FOR THE P5... sorry for the caps lock fogot it was on......the evo systems don't even have mazda under the applications???????

basically through magazine articles and emails to the company. just write an email inquiring about the evo for a p5 and they'll reply..

as far as it not being on the site yet...probably means that the exhaust is still being finalized or still has to go through all the paperwork with the DOT.

Just wondering why would anyone want a Greddy anyways. There equipment seems to be overpriced for the most part. You could probably get a 2 1/4" exhaust at any shop locally for a lot less than a Greddy. Your paying for a name, not necessarily performance.

As many people have already shown, an exhaust won't do much for an N/A engine.

plus according to mazda, you void your warranty by using non-mazdaspeed parts on the exhaust (and other parts)

yeah but what is everybody gonna do...just not mod their cars...anytime you change anything on your car it "supposedly" voids your warranty

Ok it will not void your warranty, because the dealer has to prove what you put on your car messed up the car. For example, If I put an exhaust on my car, and my radio stops working the exhaust that I put on is not going to void the warranty on the radio.

About Greddy, on back order for 6 months, that is the truth, Greddy is not a place you want to order anything from. If another after market place carries Greddy then I would get the product from them. Greddy takes to long.

I have seen and heard of diffrent types of exhaust systems for thr MP3.........is there a GOOD upgrade system? Some thing that sounds, looks, and preforms better? I have no idea, but i know other members are out there with diffrent exhaust systems than the Racing Beat one....any ideas?

It seems like the Bosal exhaust was a good choice for added performance, and a good sound (a deep throaty sound, not the stupid fart-can ricer sound). They had a California edition (secondary cat) and Federal edition (no secondary cat). They were on a huge backorder though in July or August.

Yeah, I would like to see some numbers from people who changed exhausts and got better (or worse) performance from the swap. That would definitely be interesting for those of us autocrossing in GS as we are allowed to change the exhaust. Can't hurt to get a little extra torque or HP. Don't really care about sound, unless it is completely obnoxious, just performance.
