1FASTMSP said:well, here's an update, sorry it's been a while:
1. i have been sorting out some issues over the past 3 weeks with a new MAF, i decided to go with a Z32 MAF from a 300zx...here is a suggestion that took me a while to figure out, if you are going to upgrade to a different MAF, then go ahead an install it at the same time that you install the Emanage and leave the resistor off from the wiring diagram...or, just make sure that you can get to the wiring to remove the resistor when you do upgrade.
2. also, i am going to be retuning some stuff, so i will post all of my maps so that you guys have something to work from that are starting with the Emanage. the maps will be posted by tomorrow at the latest...

This one will though, its the flyin miata one

KyRaceFan said:Id just go with the Flyin Miata o2 mod. Its a very very nice piece, and really easy to install.
I started my emanage install today, should be running tomorrow afternoon!
project_msp said:I as well will be using an emanage for my new setup (check forums for my rebuild thread). Interested in seeing the results with a gt28rs + wagner shortblock
KyRaceFan said:Im guessing it will. Sounds like its just a voltage clamp to keep the o2 sensor from sending the car into open loop, which is what you need for the emanage to work.
Mallard said:I read your other thread about wanting to try new things, but if you're going to go to the trouble of installing an e-manage, why waste the money on a redundant system while underutilizing the e-manage capabilities?
1FASTMSP said:yes, this is what spoolinmp3 and orangezoom have said, and of course orangezoom has it running on his car right now working perfectly...the problem is that the ecu will automatically try to override the settings it has being input from the emanage in open loop (this is what i gather from all of the research i have done on our ecu and the emanage), so the O2 modifier tells the ecu that it is in closed loop so that you can continue to tune your car the way that you want and it will not fight against you....(someone correct me if i am wrong, but this is the way i understand it) so in short, you do have to have the O2 modifier to get the emanage to work....
1FASTMSP said:agreed...why not use the emanage to control the extra injectors?
azian6er said:is this true only for the fuel setting, or both fuel and timing? I will only use the emanage for timing..

azian6er said:if one were to only want to control timing and not fuel, what all would one need to install? would the pressure sensor and harness still be needed?
if i just want to tune the timing, all that would be needed is the emanage main unit and the fm o2 modifier and the ignition harness im assuming?
What does the emanage chart look like, it reads rpm vs. throttle? or rpm vs. boost?
