What line do you connect your bov too. I have an hks with fmic, is it supposed to come from the manifold vacuum line?
I have mine comming off a T connection, from my manifold and boost controller to my bov. Is that the right connection??1FASTMSP said:hook it up to any vacuum source, i am assuming you have a boost gauge, you could just tee it off of that...
Actually I'm not sure, one of my buddy's had it an just gave it to me until i get my greddy type-s flange, i ordered it like 2 weeks ago and still hasn't shown. Its just I can't get any pssst out of it and I have the pressure knob all the way in. I'm just trying to get anything to work.1FASTMSP said:yes, should be fine, do you have ssqv or just plain hks?
So if I have the Bov connected to any vacuum source that will trigger it to go off. ie the brake booster line. will that cause any other problems on my car.1FASTMSP said:then it is not hooked up to a vacuum source, hehe, i did the same thing when i first got mine and was wondering why it wasn't working, then i figured out that the fitting on the back side has to be hooked up to a vacuum source...
like..1FASTMSP said:no, the brake booster line is not a good idea, it has a one way check valve in it, hook it up to a different source...
no, it is hooked up to a vac source, but at the same time I guess they were to lazy to hook recirculate my bov. Its just I got parts that need to be put on but I don't have the proper fuel maps and such, I should be takiin my car in soon tho. until then, i can't hook anything else up to my car.mp5jeff said:i thought a shop did your car cmantuc? they were not smart enough to hook a bov to a vac source?
from my wastegate? do I even need my wastegate hooked to that vacuum line if I have bov.1FASTMSP said:it comes off of the top of the manifold

YES, you need your wastegate hooked into a vacuum line...preferably the one that it was originally on which is where your boost controller should be...cmantucansam said:from my wastegate? do I even need my wastegate hooked to that vacuum line if I have bov.
thanks, wasn't sure about that, and my brain is fried from trying to keep all of this wiring straight...Notorious said:Brake booster is a great idea and the strongest vacuum source. The check valve is off the right side if your standing in front of the motor. Everything on the left sees boost and is a powerful vacuum source.
