Great Turbo on my MP5

I think its great that there is finally a kit the doesnt use an FMU. They ought to get on this site and start marketing it.

All I have to say is, that's alot of intake tubing and a really cramped exhaust manifold.

I don't know if I like the idea of the intake tube going over the top either. Won't the pipe heat up and warm the air as it passes through?

I'm not too experienced with Turbo's at all, but I must admit, I don't like the whole idea of the piping going right over the top either.

The site talks about how the kit is for 2002 MP5's and above (I think it said it will fit the MP3 and MSP, too) Am I wrong or do all of these have the same engine and everything? I'm mostly just curious if this will fit my 2001 ES.

Yes, all these cars share the same engine. The FS 2.0.

I think it fits all of them and can work as an upgrade for thr MS3.

Actually, I thought that although all FS 2.0 engines are the same, the MSP arranged differently within the engine bay. I could be wrong though. Anybody willing to clarify?

Heat soak and with the length, possible pressure drop issues??? Maybe?

they are all the same except the MSP has a stiffer passenger side engine mount

What about the ECU's? I wonder if they set each ECU different? They would have to for the MP3's because of their advanced timing. Right?

Wait a damn second, What kind of dyno do they have here, or more importantly what kind of exhaust???!!! Last I heard we dyno'd stock @98whp, If you think I'm gonna believe that ANY exhaust on a four banger can give you 22 whp your crazy!!! This is fishy! please clear this up a bit, it's hard to trust a company when they lie about they're numbers... And if they are that familiar with protege's (which I'm not doubting they arn't) they should know our internals buckle at 225, mine at 180 something. And god only knows about the tranny. I would deffinatly like to also see some non-photoshopped pictures too...

Check out the new Super Street. (i think it's SS) Article: Dynos DO Lie!!

The only thing I picked up from reading the FAQ's on that site is that you need to use 92 octane or above to avoid detonation. It's damn near impossible to find 92 Octane here in N. Cali. I don't think we even have anything higher than that available...Oh well, good thing I'm already turbo'd :D

You are right. There must have been a typing error from the guys who did our webpage. It should say 91 octane.

Thank you for noticing.

great help

Why did this thread die?

Did anyone else notice that someone from Hiboost posted a reply?

So what are the real numbers on this kit?

EDIT- Disregard, I found the other lengthy thread!
