What did you guys need to provide in order to get the grad rebate. Just wondering if I needed to make a copy of my diploma or do they need an official transcript from the college? Just wondering I just want to have everything ready to buy my car next week.

just have your diploma and they will take care of the rest for you

Well the only reason I ask is because my diploma is in a frame and I would prefer to bring in a copy and not have them handle it out of the case.

Why not pay your school the $5 for a transcript? You don't need to submit the paperwork for the rebate at the time you buy the car. The grad rebate is not instant money back. You have up to 1 year to submit the paperwork, but as always Mazda can cancel the program at their whim.

Be sure to follow up with Mazda a couple weeks after the paperwork is submitted. Make sure they received the paperwork and that your application was approved.

When I sent mine in, they initially denied the rebate cause they missed the fact that I'm in grad school. They apparently called my dealer to inform them of the problem. The dealer was supposed to call me, but never did. In any case, I spent another 2 weeks trying to get it all sorted out. Eventually I got my check, but quite a bite later than I had hoped.

Mazda will also give you a rebate if you or your sig other is in grad school! You just need proof of enrollment, ie bills, letter from dean, etc.
