got me thinking??????ford turbo compatible???

well my friend works at ford motor company here in austin texas and we were talking about my car and what the options were for a turbo and i told him that we didnt have one yet but there were some getting some customed made for them and then he told me that our cars are really ford cars that are made here as far as the engine goes and i had knew this from a business class that i took in school last semester and we got into the chit chat about how some ford turboz might be comapatible with our little enginez and i said really and then he took me to the dealership where i talked to one of the enginers and he told me the same thing so what do yall think about this little situation and do you think its possible????

Probably not, engines are made by Mazda, not Ford, as far as I know. There have been a few discussions about this, but I am sure it is a Mazda engine.

I would say a Mazda designed engine. Yea Ford and Mazda have done swaps. But our cars were made in Hiroshima, Japan.. Not the U.S. The engine in the MP3 does look exactly like the 2.0L or 1.8L ( cant remember ) in the Ford Probe. I mean really, exactly close if not exact. Interesting thing is that the Probe was all Mazda drive....
