good Atlanta-area alignment shop

I'm buying some slightly used Mazdaspeed springs from a member of the board. Recommend any Atlanta area shops that are reasonably priced and could give me a good alignment?? Should I ask for a certain camber if I want better handling? Just got new 205-wide Fuzion ZR-1 tires put on my stock rims... they are awesome, so much better than stock Dunlops, but I'd like to use them to their full potential.

i went to Firestone, they had a deal for lifetime alignments - $100

How much might those guys charge to have springs put on?

Gran Turismo in Chamblee huh? That's down the road from me.

i'm not sure if they'd put springs on since they're mostly a tire shop. Does Firestone do suspension? Springs aren't that hard to install. I'm sure some local guys could help you out. Maybe even at the meet, if you want to wait that long.

Kauffman tire will install springs for you.. I don't have any idea on the price though..
I'd say the same as Luke, save your 'install money' and just bring them to a local meet.

I used Kauffman tire to do my alignment. They did a good job... $60. You will definetly need an alignment after that.
But yeh... you can install them yourself and save $$$. Most places will charge you $120+/- to install springs. I had a friends shop do it for me out of lazyness. They are not hard at all to install.

Unless you have camber plates or bolts you can't adjust the camber, other than rotate the strut top. You can rent some spring compressors from PepBoys and make sure that you have air tools, it makes it infinitely easier.

I can help you out with the alignment if you want....and even the springs if you want....we'd have to do it at my brother's house, but he lives in Lawrenceville so it would be closer anyways.

Or just get a shop to do it....or both.........or do it at the meet.......or something....

I need some dessert and less beer.

Heh heh-- maybe I'll just bring them to the meet in 2 weeks. You guys rock. As long as I don't cut into anyone's quality beer drinking time.

i'm not sure if Adam (manofmag3) has impact tools. They come in really handy to loosen the nuts at the top.

I remember seeing somewhere that Matt(I_BOOST) had a spring compressor.. don't quote me though.
You might wanna pm him before you go to Pep Boys.
A donation would be cheaper than renting it from Pep Boys

No impact tools :( :( .... thats one thing I'm missing. Plus I think my dad still hasn't gotten a new hose for the compressor since ours is leaking. I'll have to check into that... but no impact wrench :(

Oh! and while i'm thinking of it... does anyone have any extra exhaust gaskets laying around... need a 2 1/2" and 2 1/4" one.

I'll help
I have one spring compressor (don't really need two but its safer)
I'll do it for you if you want
Just swing by one mon/wed (got school/work the other days) and we'll knock it out
maybe it'll motivate me to get working on my car again.

I'm located near Thorton Road if that helps (Power Springs)

For alignment the lifetime deal at firestone sounds good but Butler Tire in Austell have done all of mine and for 60 dollars they do a great job.

No matter where you go tell them you want the before and after specs so you know the camber, toe, etc of your car don't let them get away without giving you the print-outs.
