Given the recent Explosions in the community...

my dog's msp has been running above 10psi for around 30k miles now. but that's in texas, so we dont have as much of a temperature range to play in as a factor nor the elevation.

Yeah, just exhaust and intake for me as well. You've got to remember, these cars are just a year old, and I haven't heard of anyone having more than 20k miles on their MSPs. Those who are upping there boost and having no problems now, may be singing a different tune in a year or two. That's not to mention the recent rash of engine meltdowns people have already experienced. That's just me, though.

About to turn 30k and been at 12PSI just about the whole way.

Yeah what he said

"Yehaw Mother Fuckers Let's Rock!"
(rockon) (rockon)

Woof...Sparky say's "bOOST IT YOU ******"

I've always been fairly cautious w/ upping the boost, never went over 10psi even pre-flash...but since i started to hear pinging at 8-9 psi...I've taken out the mbc. The car is still fun at 6-7 psi and it is better to push it w/o having to worry about not boosting too much...

I'm curious if I should get the stock plugs back in since i'm running stock boost. Or is it ok to leave the copper plugs in there? Are there any drawbacks w/ copper plugs vs the stock platinum plugs?

you guys need to realize that a turbod engine is drastically affected by environmental variables such as the previously mentioned temperature range, elevation and a few others. you cannot just go outside and turn a dial up until you think about things.

"hey, its cold, i need to wear a jacket" -> turn the boost down.
"hey, im sweating like a mofo" -> turn it up carefully.
"hey, my car's full of crap and people" -> turn it back down.
"hey, i found 198octane fuel in a bottle at the car store!" -> shoot your dumb gullible self and never buy anything for your car again.

a good book to read is maximum boost by corkey bell. amazing info there, even for beginners.

I have that book, but i'm still reading it...very good book

Ya know I never even chagned my stock plugs out
I have never hit cut at 10PSI usually it comes on when the needle hits 12 PSI, it's under about 53 degrees and mostly in 4th,5th gear under part throttle on the highway when I go to pass someone and just want to midly accellerate past them.
When I have been on the road awhile the under hood temp seems to raise the air temperture up to a point that I dont hit it as much unless it gets drasticly colder out. I have never hit it above the lower 50's and really never in 1st or second even when
the needle goes to 12PSI. I normally drive very conservativly to save gas so cut/boost isn't a huge issue. Unlike Tease's Dog who is MAD SKILLZ Race Car DRIVA!

you're running 12psi w/ the stock plugs and you still dont get any ping or knock?

Whats the difference in this dual stage ebc and I guess a single stage ebc?(real newb here)

Thanks.

For the first 7k miles of my car I've been running at about 9.5psi. As soon as I hit the fuel cut I knew it was time to take out the MBC. Since about 7k miles on the car I've been running at stock boost, 7psi, according to my gauge. But, I've had some exhaust work done and some other things that made the car run very nice. It was a noticeable difference between 9.5 and stock boost at first, but then I got used to stock boost. I can't wait for warmer weather so I can put the boost back up and see how she runs. Plus I'm getting a FMIC setup very soon as well :)

Peace.

So heres my thought. I ran an MBC for about 2K miles. Now I am stock. If I go in for warrnaty work a few more thousand miles down the road and they find that I had spliced my vac line before think they will deny me? Yeah yeah every dealership is different and so on but still it seems that now that it is out and has been out they should warranty my car.

You can set a high and low boost level.
