(bump) Well i cetainly hope so man!! But the other models where their ideas... so trying to get them to make something that we want may just need a petition....... but hopefully they will realize that just off of this forum we got close to 100 people... (rockon) not to mention the other people from the smaller forums...
i was lookin at the upgrades u can do to them, and it looks like they are veeeeerrrryyyy modable, i would love to make a awd protege and set up a road coarse to drive it on,

The range on my skyline sucks because I pretty much fried it by using 7 cells, but Geoff (xmod505) has a upgraded antenna on his 350Z and he was driving it up to about 50 yards away... We run them around over at my local tennis court complex where there is 3 courts side by side, and he could go from one end of complex over to the other and it wasn't loosing signal at all. He could have maybe even gone further, but there wasn't any more room, lol.

I have S2 motor, AWD, CF driveshaft, CF front deck, 3 extra cells, ball bearings, body kit, and a few other little ones and I consider mine to be lightly modded, lol. Geoff's STi on the other hand, that thing is about as heavily modded as you can get, and he has a boat load of CNC aluminum parts on it... pretty much the entire thing is made out of aluminum now... lithium ion cell upgrade, custom motor, aluminum wheels, etc... etc... Needless to say, it is VERY sick.

His antenna upgrade really seems to do the trick though, I can't really see any reason that you would ever want to go any farther away than he was with his 350z... haha, you could seriously barely even see it way over there, lol.

Ok guys, I got a PM back from the designer (the one im talking to about the protege xmod) today... So far it sounds good... Like any project that has to be made from the ground up this could take some time to actually get them made... He told me that it took 6 months to get the nsx and the camero made... so please bear with us!! He did tell me that he was pushing this to try and get this made!!! This is sounding promising so far!! So if anyone else you know may be intrested please let them know about this thread!!!
As far as antenna upgrades i have not heard of a way to upgrade the controller... but my sponsor ( www.xmodforum.com ) tested out putting the antenna from the controller on the xmod in place of the stock one and said it worked a block away. (he had his g/f next to the xmod, drove to the next block, and she said the xmod drove perfect!! Well besides being a little top heavy... lol) but the upgraded antenna i have has worked amazing as rich (505zoom) said... i ran out of room to run...
Any other questions, please let me know!

That would be sweet!!! A first for xmods for sure!! If i had the $ to do it right now i would totally do that! Good thinking and great idea!!!
just went on the forum from XmF and saw how you can add additional lights to your car and it reminded me of the idea to have the little spot for the leds you find on the headlights of xmods on the fog lights. that would look sick.
